How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I chose to build a general law firm in the Sacramento area because I wanted to provide the highest quality of legal services while still providing the small town values that are often missing in Northern California law firms.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

It is always nice to work with clients who are informed and understand the issues involved in a case. However, a client must be careful to not think they are too informed. The law is often confusing and easy to misinterpret and clients should always be willing to listen to the advice of qualified counsel.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Our firm often reviews documents prepared by clients. This is a great way for clients to get some of the necessary issues in a contract or document at a lower cost but still get high quality documents that have been reviewed professionally by an attorney.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We are willing to, and sometimes participate in advising on a limited scope by providing advice and counseling for clients in a family law matters. This is especially helpful in cases that need to be overseen, but there are not enough funds to afford having an attorney involved on a full time basis. This is another way for a client to save money and still receive quality legal advice.

Linda Marie Louder

I received my Bachelor of Science and performed my graduate coursework at the University of Mississippi with other such notables as John Grisham, Archie Manning and Morgan Freeman. While attending Ole Miss, I worked as a deputized assistant to the well known and colorful figure, Lafayette County Sheriff, Buddy East. Upon graduation, I worked as an itinerant teacher and instructed kinesthetically gifted and underprivileged children in rural Mississippi. I was responsible for the persuasive writing whereby the county was awarded federal funds for that gifted program.

After obtaining my Juris Doctorate, I devoted my time in the Nevada County Public Defender's office to fiercely defending individuals who had been the victims of overzealous prosecutors. Upon leaving the Public Defender's office, I created the Louder Law Group to encompass the many issues that arise from criminal, family, and financial struggles.

As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, I bring the life experience necessary to fully appreciate all aspects of a case. As a result of my experience with counseling families during these stressful times, I expanded my Criminal Defense practice to handle delicate bankruptcy and family law matters; i.e. divorce, custody issues, property agreements, alimony, child support, pre-marital agreements, father's rights, etc.

The term "steel hand in a velvet glove" best describes my approach. My success can be credited to my diplomatic nature, excellent negotiation skills, and an unwillingness to settle for an unjust resolution. My experience in the district attorney's office enabled me to understand the other side and quickly evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their case.

Personal interests:

I love spending time with my family, especially traveling and boating.
