Firm Overview

Upon admission to the South Carolina Bar in 1951, Mr. Lee went to work for Gary Paschal. Mr. Paschal's colorful career included serving as Mayor Pro Tem of Columbia and as a freedom fighter in South America.

Mr. Paschal's primary focus was on criminal defense and Mr. Lee developed the personal injury side of the practice, in addition to handling criminal and domestic matters.

Sherod Eadon joined the firm as an attorney in 1981, after having previously worked under Mr. Lee as a law clerk in the 1970's.

Mr. Eadon continued to build the firm's growing personal injury practice which included workers' compensation claims, auto and trucking accidents, and medical malpractice claims.

In 1983, Chris Isgett was hired to help with the growing practice. Mr. Isgett previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable E.C. Burnett.

Mr. Isgett handled criminal, family and civil cases in his early career. He continues to primarily focus on workers' compensation and auto and trucking accidents.

Gary Popwell and Jerry Reardon began their legal careers as law clerks with the firm. Both worked as associates before joining the firm as partners in 1990 and 2003 respectively.

Popwell and Reardon focus on civil trial work including auto and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, and workers' compensation.

Brett Owens was also a law clerk with the firm and now is an associate who handles civil work and social security disability.

The firm continues the tradition started by Luther Lee of representing injured plaintiffs.

Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell, and Reardon represents clients who have been injured in auto and trucking accidents, workers' compensation accidents, medical errors, and defective products.

We also are here to help clients receive social security disability.

Attorneys Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell and Reardon, P.A. is a plaintiff/claimant-oriented trial practice firm that focuses on representing people who have suffered personal injuries or wrongful death. These injuries may result from automobile accidents, defective products, or the professional negligence of health care providers. Injuries that occur on the premises of others, including animal attacks, are also handled by the firm. We also represent claimants in Workers' Compensation cases and Social Security disability applications.

In addition, Attorneys Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell and Reardon, P.A. has expertise in first party insurance disputes, also known as Bad Faith cases. In these types of cases, the recovery arises from the wrongful handling or denial of claims made by people who are covered under contracts of insurance. Most often, these are life insurance policies where premiums have been paid and benefits are delayed or denied upon the death of the insured.

Our firm also handles selected criminal defense cases.

Attorneys Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell and Reardon, P.A has a long history of service to clients in need of representation due to injuries occasioned by no fault of their own and who are often unable to adequately speak for themselves against large well financed corporate interests. Our firm hopes that because of the quality of service performed, clients will want to return and to refer friends and family members with similar needs to us.

We are a law firm that is proud of its heritage, ethics, and accomplishments. We hope the way we conduct ourselves will reflect favorably both on ourselves individually, and our profession as a whole.

Auto Accident
Were you injured in an automobile or trucking accident?
Automobile and tractor trailer/trucking accidents in South Carolina are often life changing events resulting in property damage, serious physical and emotional injuries, lifetime disabilities and often death.

Suddenly, you are faced with questions about insurance claims, vehicle damage, medical bills, loss of income or how to handle the devastating loss of a loved one. Some wrecks occur because drivers act careless, negligent, reckless and intentional conduct. Others are caused by drunk drivers, underinsured or uninsured drivers.

In trucking accidents there are issues of compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations concerning hours of service, vehicle inspection, weights of vehicles, and other issues which can have a decisive impact on the outcome of a case.

We will obtain driver's log books, maintenance records, inspection records and drivers' records.

Attorneys Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell and Reardon represent clients who have been victims of the following

-Automobile Wrecks
-Tractor Trailer/18-Wheeler Wrecks
-Bus Accidents
-Drunk Drivers
-Motorcycle Collisions
-Wrongful Death/Survival Claims

How We Can Help You:
A person who is injured in an automobile or trucking wreck may be entitled to receive compensation for medical bills, lost wages, future income, property damage, and other losses. An individual who loses a loved one in a wreck may be a statutory beneficiary who can file wrongful death and survival claims.

We will determine which type of insurance is available to cover your accident (liability, med-pay, PIP, UIM, UM). South Carolina law requires an insurance company to offer various types of insurance to drivers to cover death, injuries, property damage, rental vehicles, and other losses.

In many cases, minimum coverage is not sufficient and we must seek additional coverage. This can include underinsured motorist coverage, med pay, PIP, and other policies which cover the injured party. Often drivers do not have insurance on their vehicle and uninsured motorist coverage will be responsible for payment of the claim.

We will investigate the accident, interview witnesses, speak with the insurance adjuster, help you with medical treatment, attend traffic court and handle property damage.

When appropriate, we will hire accident re-constructionists, economists and medical experts to maximize your recovery and bring about a fair resolution to your case.

We will use our experience and training to help you recover the maximum amount for your injuries and damages. We will consider all the factors and damages involved when handling your claims: death, physical injuries, emotional damages, disfigurement, pain and suffering, loss of current and future income, where the accident occurred, actions of the driver before the wreck and punitive damages.

We have represented many families who have lost a loved one in a wreck. The damages for the death of a loved one include compensation for the emotional devastation caused by such a tragedy, economic loss caused by the death, funeral benefits, survival benefits and other losses.

Often the evaluation of these sensitive claims involves hiring experts such as an economist, who can project future earnings that would have been available for the support of those left behind. It is very important to hire experts in order to recover the maximum amount for your losses.
