The six attorneys of Lamont Neiman & Interian, P.A. have the experience, creativity and knowledge to provide quality legal services within our general areas of practice which include taxation, business planning, estate planning, asset preservation and probate. Our practice includes a broad range of tax, business and estate planning for individuals and businesses and representation of individual and business clients in federal and state tax controversies before the Internal Revenue Service and Florida Department of Revenue and applicable courts in tax controversy matters.

Each of our attorneys is a member of the Florida Bar, and has an advanced tax law degree (LL.M in taxation).

Tax Controversy IRS Representation
Representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service requires a unique blend of knowledge of the substantive and procedural tax laws and practical experience. The attorneys at Lamont Neiman & Interian, P.A. have that knowledge and experience in representing clients before the Internal Revenue. Two of our attorneys (Robert S. Lamont and Jan S. Neiman) served as senior trial attorneys for the Internal Revenue Service prior to entering private law practice.

Tax Planning for Domestic Businesses
The attorneys at Lamont Neiman & Interian, P.A. represent and advise clients with respect to planning for their domestic business. Our clientele generally consists of closely held, non-public business entities. We have the knowledge and experience to assist clients in the development and implementation of tax efficient strategies for establishing, operating and terminating their business.

Tax Planning for Foreign Individuals (Pre-Immigration)
The attorneys at Lamont Neiman & Interian, P.A. have the knowledge and expertise to advise citizens and residents of other countries who intend to establish residency in the United States. In rendering the advice, the attorneys advise the client as to the income and estate tax consequences of establishing residency in the United States and alternative strategies for minimizing the overall tax consequences, including creating domestic or offshore trusts.

Tax Planning for Non-Residents Investing in the U.S.
The attorneys at Lamont Neiman & Interian, P.A. have the knowledge and expertise to advise non-resident aliens and foreign corporations who intend to invest in the United States. In rendering the advice, the attorneys advise the client as to the income and estate tax consequences of investing in the United States and alternative strategies for minimizing the overall tax consequences, including creating domestic or offshore limited liability companies, corporation and trusts.

Tax Planning for Investing Abroad
The attorneys at Lamont Neiman & Interian, P.A. have the knowledge and expertise to advise U.S. clients who intend to invest outside of the United States. In rendering the advice, the attorneys advise the client as to the income and estate tax consequences of investing outside of the United States and alternative strategies for minimizing the overall United States tax consequences, including creating domestic or offshore limited liability companies, corporation and trusts.

Robert S. Lamont

Robert S. Lamont is a graduate of Georgetown University obtaining an LL.M. (Taxation) in 1975; Cumberland School of Law of Samford University (J.D. cum laude 1972), and Stetson University (B.B.A. 1966). Mr. Lamont has received the preeminent AV rating from Martindale Hubbel for more than 25 consecutive years.

Mr. Lamont entered the private practice of law in 1976 and has been a member of the firm since its founding in 1980. Prior to that time Mr. Lamont served as a senior trial attorney with the Office of Chief Council, Tax Court Litigation Division, Internal Revenue Service in its Washington, D.C. office. During 1966 through 1969 Mr. Lamont served as a Captain, United States Army.

For more than 35 years Mr. Lamont has concentrated his practice in the representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service, and with respect to tax planning, sophisticated business planning, mergers and acquisitions, including the purchase and sale of businesses. Mr. Lamont also advises clients with respect to estate planning and probate matters. Additionally, Mr. Lamont advises clients in corporate governance matters, choice of entity selection and tax matters before the Florida Department of Revenue.

Mr. Lamont is a member of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar and is a charter member of the South Florida Tax Litigation Association. Mr. Lamont has lectured as an Adjunct Professor of Taxation in the Masters in Accounting Program at Florida International University.

Jan S. Neiman

Jan S. Neiman is a graduate of The Ohio State University (B.S. 1971 with honors; J.D. 1974 cum laude), and New York University (LL.M (taxation) 1977). Mr. Neiman has received the AV rating from Martindale Hubbell.

Mr. Neiman has been a member of the firm since its founding in 1980. Prior to entering private law practice in 1980, Mr. Neiman served as a Senior Trial Attorney with the Internal Revenue Service Office of District Counsel. Mr. Neiman devotes his practice time to representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service; tax, business and estate planning, including representation in connection with the sale and purchase of businesses; and asset protection.

Mr. Neiman is a member of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar where he has served on numerous committees and is co-chairman of the South Florida Tax Litigation Association. Mr. Neiman has been a speaker at various continuing legal education seminars lecturing on topics including representation before the Internal Revenue Service and substantive tax issues.

Alberto Interian

Alberto Interian is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.S.B.A. 1995; J.D. with honors 1998; LL.M (taxation) 1999). Mr. Interian was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998. Mr. Interian has received the preeminent AV rating from Martindale Hubbell.

Mr. Interian is a member of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar. Mr. Interian is a frequent speaker at professional meetings of attorneys and certified public accountants. Mr. Interian has lectured on various topics including representation before the Internal Revenue Service, partnership taxation, estate planning, income and estate tax issues involving non-resident aliens, and like-kind exchanges.

Jordan A. Datchko

Jordan A. Datchko is a 2005 graduate of the University of Central Florida earning a B.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Accounting. In 2010 Mr. Datchko earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law where he earned academic awards in Partnership Tax Estate and Gift Tax. Mr. Datchko earned his LL.M (Taxation) in 2011 from The University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law. Mr. Datchko was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2011.

Thomas V. Siciliano

Of Counsel

Thomas V. Siciliano is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; University of Pennsylvania law school (J.D.) and the University of Miami Master in Tax Law Program (LL.M.). Mr. Siciliano is admitted to the Bars in Florida and New Jersey. Mr. Siciliano is board certified in the area of Wills, Trust and Estates and has received the preeminent AV rating from Martindale Hubbel.

Mr. Siciliano represents individuals, families and their businesses throughout South Florida. His primary areas of practice are trusts and estates, business planning and real estate, with a particular focus on tax issues. His goal is to provide legal counsel which is highly personalized, sophisticated and cost-effective.

Jason Warshofsky

Jason Warshofsky is a graduate of the American University in Washington, D.C. (B.A. 1992); ST. Mr. Warshofky is board certified in the area of Wills, Trust and Estates and has received the preeminent AV rating from Martindale Hubbel.

Mr. Warshofsky is a member of the Real Property and Probate Section of the Florida Bar and the Probate and Guardianship Sub Committee of the Dade County Bar. Mr. Warshofsky is a frequent speaker at professional meetings of attorneys and also speaks to the public. Mr. Warshofsky has lectured on various topics including trust drafting, Medicaid qualification, probate administration, general estate planning, avoiding probate and trust litigation, estate tax planning and asset protection planning.
