Bankruptcy
I prefer to represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, foreclosures, credit card debt, debt collection lawsuits and debt settlement, and loan modification matters.
The focus of my firm is to aggressively pursue and defend the rights of individual consumers and small businesses in debt settlement, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and contract matters through negotiation and representation in law suits. Every client receives personal, nonjudgmental, compassionate attention from me. You will not meet with a paralegal.

My firm was established in 1988 after a number of years in senior legal positions with the federal government and a private corporation.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I'm at a stage in my career where my desire is to be the best advocate possible for individuals and small businesses in an unsettled economy and a rapidly changing world.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

I have had a broad ranging work experience in a number of legal fields, which allows me to be a wiser and, at the same time, more compassionate lawyer. I've drafted legislation that has become law, while part of the Executive Office of the President of the United States. And I've shared the concerns and heartbreak of those threatened with losing their homes and other assets for which they've worked so hard.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am willing to review documents prepared by clients. In bankruptcy matters, I furnish the clients a form which helps them gather needed information and helps educate them in the type of information required by the bankruptcy court.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

My experience is that clients want to become educated before they ask for help from an attorney so that they can ask intelligent questions and evaluate their need for an attorney. I encourage potential clients to educate themselves through the internet and library materials. I provide handouts and have material on my website for their education. I also encourage them to continue to educate themselves about their case after they have retained me.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I am willing to coach clients on a case-by-case basis.

What are your firm's strengths and style?

My strength is my compassion for my clients and the life situations that they encounter. I'm a good listener. I'm a good analyst of legal matters, and I also have an ability to be creative in seeking legal remedies for my clients. I particularly enjoy legal research and brief writing.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others

I have had a broad ranging work experience in a number of legal fields, which allows me to be a wiser and, at the same time, more compassionate lawyer. I've drafted legislation that has become law, while part of the Executive Office of the President of the United States.
