A substantial portion of her practice is devoted to defending the rights of law enforcement officers, public employees, and labor unions in departmental hearings, administrative appeals, and unfair labor practice charges as well as protecting their rights in employment discrimination cases. Gina also has widespread experience in both Federal and State civil litigation.
Of particular note is Gina's extensive experience in representing and defending clients in high-profile cases and complex, cutting-edge legal matters in Federal and State court. Many of these cases have received extensive media coverage and have resulted in the granting of new trials, the reversal of convictions, and the publishing of legal opinions in several different areas of the law. She has tried and successfully defended clients facing such charges as Patriot Act terrorist offenses, first degree carjacking, rape, and attempted murder charges. Gina has also represented clients in appellate matters and has won appeals on behalf of criminal defendants and police officers in reported opinions.
Gina is also a television commentator and has appeared on all major news networks to discuss cases pending in the media. She is a lecturer and seminar panelist and also serves on many civic leadership groups and boards of trustees.
