Barbara Ann Williams

Barbara-Ann Williams, Principal Attorney of the Law Offices of Barbara-Ann Williams, PC. A graduate of the University of San Francisco, School of Law (1995), Barbara-Ann Williams was licensed by the California State Bar in 1995 & embarked on her immigration career as an intern at the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights in downtown San Francisco as well as the Law Offices of Marc Van Der Hout in the Mission District before advancing on as an Associate at Simmons, Ungar, Hellbush, Steinberg & Bright where she was responsible for a broad range of immigration issues including visas for scientists, working professionals , drafting legal briefs and arguments for clients in removal proceedings as well as assisting individuals and families with obtaining permanent residency and working visas. Her US immigration law expertise includes H1Bs, Ls, E3s, E Investor and Treaty Trader visas, R-1s and Permanent Residency for Religious Workers, Green cards for High Asset Investors, Outstanding Researchers, Artists and other Professionals, Family Based Visas, Consular Processing and waivers, Deportation Defense as well as visas for victims of crimes (U visas and VAWA).

Passionate about working with people to achieve their immigration goals and taking personal responsibility to transform their situations, Ms. Williams is an active member of the SGI-USA, a lay Buddhist organization and UN NGO dedicated to peace, culture and education, as well as is an active member of AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Assn). She was the AILA Norcal Education Program Director (2007-2008), AILA Norcal Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division (2004-2006), as well as a Public Interest Law Scholar and Black Women
