Our principal attorney, Zaida Z. Bridgford has been in family law since 2007, with over five years of service in the family law division at Sacramento Superior Court.
After five years in the family law division at Sacramento Superior Court, Ms. Bridgford has developed a very specific knowledge of how to direct a family law case from initiation to Judgment.

Family Law is the one area of law that affects litigants to their very core. It affects their home, spouse/partner, children and finances. Ms. Bridgford assisted a broad cross-section of self represented litigants in the Family Law Facilitator's Office. Some were distraught and helpless, many were frustrated and confused, and yet others were amicable and motivated to put aside their emotions so they could move forward. Regardless of where you find yourself, she feel it is her role to guide you through each step of this process.

Ms. Bridgford continues her public service by volunteering in the Family Law and Probate divisions of Sacramento Superior Court.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

We are a firm that focuses on resolution, not litigation. As the only licensed network provider for Divorce with Dignity, we are committed to helping our clients move forward.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

It is not uncommon for our divorce clients to come in together. It is the firm's belief that beginning the conversation from the points the couple agree upon, brings the process closer to resolution. Each "Yes", builds upon the previous one.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We work at different price points and we understand the client's financial position. We are willing to work with our clients to decide what cost-saving measures are worthwhile and when it is essential to have full legal representation.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Having worked for the court for over five years, the principal attorney strongly encourages clients to educate themselves. Each dissolution client leaves the office with articles and tools to explain the process moving forward.
