Chapter 7 is frequently used by those facing overwhelming personal debt. For many people, Chapter 7 bankruptcy provides the fastest and easiest way to have their debts discharged. Filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy can be a confusing process, but fortunately, Attorney James Hord has years of experience with Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings and is ready to put this experience to work for you.

Chapter 13 is a debt repayment plan. It may work for you if you make a good income but cannot afford to pay off your debt and/or need relief from certain debts that cannot be discharged in Chapter 7. Attorney James Hord can help you file Chapter 13 and propose a plan to make a monthly payment to a government-appointed trustee. The trustee will use that money to pay your creditors according to your repayment plan once it's approved by the court.

Don't stay in debt a day longer.

Created On: 02/13/2014

Why do people file for bankruptcy? This is a question that I am asked by my friends from time to time. After all, shouldn't people pay their debts and not cause harm to their creditors?
