Real Estate and Business Litigation and Transactions, Real Estate and Landlord Tenant matters. I represent owners of small to medium size businesses, builders, Managers and Real Estate Owners and help them through important and difficult issues. I also assist individuals and businesses buy and sell residential and investment properties and businesses. When mounting or defending a lawsuit or closing a business or real estate transaction, it is the quality of the attorney and the facts of your case and not the size of the firm that matters.

Is your firm willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

I will depend on the part of the case that the clients asks me to help him or her with.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

I prefer to handle the matter from beginning to end by myself. I am a solo practitioner.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Often the court will make mediation mandatory. Arbitration is usually entered into when there is a contract which requires it. Arbitration, contrary to perception, may not be less costly than litigation, however its advantages include speed and lack of formality in preparing the case. I am open to and make it a goal to resolve a case in the most cost effective way. I believe that achieving a successful result should being the guiding principal in deciding how to handle a case keeping in mind the client's resources and the likelhood of success.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

I participate on a regular basis in volunteer activities in my local community.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

When I take a case I extensively explore and understand its facts and assemble the evidence as soon as possible. I also research the law extensively. Early mastery of the facts and law is essential. Often cases are fact driven and I have been able to achieve superior results by mastering facts to an extent that goes beyond what is typically achieved. My closely held business background also gives me an understanding of legal and factual issues. Being well organized, transactions run smoothly and clients are protected from contract formation to closing.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I welcome a healthy dialogue with clients who have taken steps to become more familiar with their legal issues.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

No. I wish to take full responsibility for documents and therefore prepare them myself.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I will provide general guidance and principals of law but I do not want to assume legal responsibility for results when I am not retained by a client.

I received my undergradutate degree from Columbia University in 1977, my MBA from Northeastern University in 1981 and my Law Degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1991. I am admitted to the Bar in the States of New Jersey and New York. Prior to entering a law career I worked for a medium sized closely held manufacturing business from 1980 to 1988. After practising law in New York for several years, I opened my own practice here in New Jersey in 1995 to service the needs small to medium size companies and individuals with real estate and business problems.
