Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy in Augusta, GA
Seymour & Associates, P.C. has an experienced team of bankruptcy law professionals who focus on just that: bankruptcy. We help Georgia residents figure out if they qualify and then guide them through the entire process for either Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

When the bills keep piling up and the debt collectors won't leave you alone, it's time to take action. You should not let yourself drown in debt, and filing for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy may be just what you need to get a second chance at living a debt-free life.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

If you have a reliable source of income that’s not quite enough to pay off your overwhelming debts, Chapter 13 bankruptcy could be a good option for you and your family. When you file Chapter 13, your debts are broken down into an affordable payment plan that is spread out over three to five years. In the end, the remaining amount is discharged. Call today for a free consultation to find out if you qualify for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in Augusta.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Having practiced family law, landlord tenant law, subrogation and bankruptcy law, we knew it was important to select only one area of practice. We learned early on that you simply cannot be everything to everyone. So, we decided upon the area of bankruptcy law as our only area of practice.

Bankruptcy law allows us to assist our clients in a most rewarding and positive way. When the burden of debt is lifted from the shoulders of clients, they are finally able to enjoy their life and family again. With the filing of a bankruptcy petition, relief is immediately available to a client.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others

At the Law Firm of Seymour and Associates, we have represented literally thousands of clients in bankruptcy cases. There is probably no bankruptcy situation that our attorneys have not witnessed or handled. We have experience and experience counts.

Law firms that practice a variety of different types of law can never match the experience of attorneys that are involved day in and day out in one particular area of practice. Bankruptcy is too complicated for an attorney to be distracted by other practice areas.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Unlike any other law firm in the CSRA, we only practice bankruptcy law. By doing this we can provide the best service to our clients. The client never has to worry about whether or not their attorney will be in another court covering a divorce trial or an automobile accident. Clients benefit greatly and their court appearances are not continued because of an attorney scheduling conflict. Our clients know our attorneys will be in court to represent them – on time and prepared.

Our attorneys know that bankruptcy is a serious business. Your financial situation deserves the attention of a bankruptcy attorney. While no one wants to file a bankruptcy case, it is often necessary in order to protect a client’s home, car and wages. It takes time to understand the needs of a bankruptcy client. This cannot be done over a telephone. It cannot be handled via email. A bankruptcy consultation must be conducted in person with an experienced bankruptcy attorney.

Angie Seymour

Angie Seymour has been practicing bankruptcy law for over 23 years. Her dedication to her clients and her knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code has helped establish Seymour & Associates as a top-tier law firm in both Atlanta and Augusta. After graduating from the Woodrow Wilson College of Law with West Publishing Awards in Contracts and Civil Procedure, Mrs. Seymour opened her own practice in Stone Mountain, GA. Initially practicing in several areas of law, including divorce, personal injury, and contractual law, she soon realized that she could offer more highly specialized legal representation by focusing her practice on bankruptcy.

In 2003, Mrs. Seymour decided to look at other markets for bankruptcy. She soon began working along side James Duncan, III at the already established Duncan and Associates in Augusta. Her contributions to the practice were substantial, working nights and weekends gave the Augusta Community even more access to debt relief attorneys than ever before. After James Duncan retired in 2005, Duncan and Associates became Seymour & Associates, and the number one bankruptcy law firm in Augusta continued to offer the highest quality of representation through the 2005 bankruptcy reform, the 2007 U.S. Recession, and the current economic crisis that is affecting our country today. Thousands of individuals and families in Augusta, Evans, Martinez, and surrounding communities have experienced financial relief through Seymour & Associates, PC.
