Frank Law

Firm Overview

The focus of Frank Law Office, P.C. is to assist Debtors, Creditors and Trustees with bankruptcy representation. We are a full-service law firm and offer services not traditional to law offices, such as assisting clients with seeking employment, referrals to attorneys and agencies for other matters, understanding governmental assistance and programs plus many others.

Frank Law Office, P.C. was established in July 2006 with emphasis on providing a FRESH approach to traditional legal services.

Example cases

I have assisted in liquidating over $100,000,000 in assets, including businesses, accounts receivables, real estate (commercial and residential) and brokerage accounts. By representing Chapter 7 trustees prior to opening my own practice, I have a unique perspective on exemption planning and the protection of assets. By representing all types of entities, debtors, creditors and trustees, I can understand the position of all involved parties and am able to share this information with each individual client and to prepare in advance for any obstacle in their way of a successful reorganization, repayment plan or liquidation. I am also well-versed with high net worth and income clients and am adept to handle complex financial matters of concern.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Bad things can happen to good people. Many times, businesses and people are faced with an uncertain future due to economic decline, job loss, illness and/or divorce. Sometimes the business plan for the dream business needs some altering and sometimes larger companies lose control of their supply and demand. No matter what the case may be, sometimes things do happen not by our choosing, and I enjoy offering my clients choices. I enjoy watching people and things grow, recreate and replenish.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

The more information and understanding clients have in regard to their individualized situation, the easier it is to guide the client through the legal maze toward a solution. I commonly offer clients resources including written and audio materials to review. Also, my philosophy is a team-oriented approach with a team mentality toward strategy. I provide guidance, and with my assistance, a focused approach to the problem is greatly assisted with communication and transparency in representation.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I always have to review contracts for compliance and other negotiation-related documents. So long as the client and I have agreed on the approach, this strategy can help contain costs for the client.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

This depends on the problem, but I often coach clients in regards to negotiations.

L. Leona Frank

Previous employment includes in-house work at Fortune 500 companies, banks and two traditional law firms in Indianapolis.

Volunteering my pro bono efforts on behalf of non-profits and various bar associations makes me appreciate and honor my profession even more. The ability to help others who cannot help themselves is a gift and I am humbled each time a word of gratitude is spoken.

I also assist with diversity issues and am of the belief that the law should uphold equality not only in the law, but in the profession. Coming from a diverse background, I can understand and relate to clients, and people are comfortable with an attorney who has true life experience and an understanding of the community in which we live. I am a Hoosier by birth and choice and I enjoy watching other Indiana residents and businesses succeed.

My strengths are client development and negotiations. I am also a creative problem solver, educated, competent and alert within my practice areas.

Personal interests:

I enjoy playing tennis, golf, scuba diving and writing legal fiction.
