Our attorneys specialize in Collaborative and Cooperative Divorce as well as Mediation. All are low conflict styles of practice, which put children and family first. Our family practice group consists of a "triangle" of legal practitioners, including a seasoned attorney with 20 years of experience, an associate attorney with 4 years of experience, and a paralegal who assists with client intake and management, document drafting and scheduling. Our "triangle" ensures that there is always someone in the office to meet the client's needs, and allows flexibility in case management and billing. Routine tasks may not need to be handled at the highest hourly rate; but more difficult issues can be attended to by a veteran attorney as necessary. While we focus our practice on settling cases as a priority, we have years of litigation experience and regularly handle motions and contested cases as part of our practice.
How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?
After spending years practicing litigation and seeing the wounds it causes, our firm has a philosophy of seeking out and encouraging low conflict dispute resolution wherever possible. We understand the emotions that accompany divorce, and we have the patience and knowledge to help a client process those emotions to make better long term decisions. We hear the word "aggressive" when describing lawyers, and we are not impressed. We prefer to think of ourselves as "effective."
