Biography: Abby M. Moeddel practices in the area of complex commercial and civil litigation. Ms. Moeddel represents engineers, insurance agents, real estate agents, attorneys and other professionals in defense of malpractice actions throughout all stages of litigation and trial. She also represents numerous insurance carriers in complex coverage disputes and defense of first-party claims. In addition, she actively defends condominium and community associations in actions arising under Chapters 718 and 720, Florida Statutes.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Ms. Moeddel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, with Distinction, from the University of Michigan Business School in Ann Arbor, Michigan and a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. Before joining Cole, Scott and Kissane in 2008, she completed externships with the Circuit Court of Cook County, the United States Attorney's Office-Middle District of Florida, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Mediation and ADR Clinic at the Law Offices of Chicago-Kent and the Employment Discrimination/Civil Rights Litigation Clinic at the Law Offices of Chicago-Kent.

Ms. Moeddel is admitted to practice before all County and Circuit Courts in the State of Florida and before the United States District Court, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida.
