Koblin Family Law Center

Firm Overview

Known and respected in Pleasanton for our honesty, integrity and ethics, we won't advise you to take a case to trial if it can be fairly resolved simply and inexpensively outside of the courtroom. On the other hand, if your case involves an issue that demands litigation, you can depend on us to aggressively fight for your rights.

We study, analyze and evaluate every possible alternative and then explain your options and the advantages and disadvantages of each. Based on our legal experience and knowledge, we will recommend an option, but you will decide how you would like us to proceed. We are here to serve you and to help you resolve critical life issues for the best possible resolution.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I knew early on that I wanted to utilize my legal training to work directly with people. I could think of nothing more rewarding than working with others to help them through a difficult time in their lives.
It was this desire that lead me to develop my practice area in family law as we have the opportunity to work directly with people through one of the most challenging times in their lives.
It is knowing that we are making a difference that keeps us doing this.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

I have a unique educational background with an undergraduate degree in molecular biology, an MBA, and a JD from Loyola Law School. My clients' benefit from my combined experience as a JD / MBA especially when their case involves complex financial transactions and business valuation issues.
It is this unique educational experience that distinguishes me from other lawyers in the field.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

We are a unique firm. We have tried very hard to make each client feel welcome and at ease the second they walk in the door. We have been told on many occasions that people have never seen an office such as ours and they love it. We are professional, yet casual, relaxed, and approachable. When we handle your case, we do it with you, every step of the way rather than inform you of what actions have been taken. This way, you always know what is happening with your case, and can be assured it is proceeding in a direction that you approve. This is not to say of course that we will have a positive decision every time from the court, in family law, there are ups and downs, but you will be right there with us knowing what is happening in your case.

Kennedy's clients also benefit from his combined experience as a JD/MBA which provides Kennedy with an added prospective of both business and the law which has proved to be invaluable in complicated property division cases, and cases involving businesses.

In his spare time, Kennedy enjoys reading, cooking, is an avid landscape photographer and a first degree black belt in Yoshukai Karate.
