Park has 28 years of experience as a litigator in Los Angeles. A 1980
graduate of the Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, he
became a member of the State Bar of California in December of 1980 and
a member of the State Bar of Pennsylvania in June of 1981. He is also a
member of the U.S. District Court in the Central District of
California, as well as District Courts in Nevada, Utah and Florida. He
is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Mr. Park received an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell in 1991. An AV
rating is a significant accomplishment and a testament to the fact that
a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional
excellence. A lawyer must be admitted to the bar for 10 years to
receive an AV rating. Mr. Park's practice of law has been devoted to
civil litigation, with the lion's share focused on general liability
insurance, professional and product liability issues. In 2006 Mr. Park
was recognized by the Judges of the Los Angeles Superior Court for his
volunteer services as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Neutral.
Mr. Park has reported decisions in the California Court of Appeal, the most recent, is Tortorella v. Castro, M.D. (2006) 140 Cal. App. 4th 1. Other decisions are Perna v. Conejo Valley Unified School District (1983) 143 Cal. App.3d 292 (Education Code 44808); Workman v. Superior Court (1986)(Great American Ins. Co.) 176 Cal. App. 3d 493 (interpretation of Insurance Code 11580.2); Morin v. County of Los Angeles (1989) 215 Cal. App. 3d 184 (Government Code section 831.2, natural condition of public property immunity); and Tessier v. City of Newport Beach (1990) 219 Cal. App. 3d 310 (also section 831.2).
