Mr. Kelly has written extensively in the field of trial practice and has authored the IICLE publication, Laying Foundations for Introducing Evidence (6 editions); has co-authored Illinois Pretrial Practice (James Publishing Co.); and has co-edited "Illinois Causes of Action" (IICLE).

After trying numerous cases and working with renowned medical experts, our attorneys have developed a thorough understanding of the complexities of medical conditions involved in cases of spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, fractures, back injuries, burns and organ injuries.

The loss of a loved one is a traumatic event. We are devoted to assisting the families of those we represent by helping them reestablish their lives. If a negligent act causes the death of your spouse or next of kin, and the victim would have been able to sue under a personal injury action had he or she survived, you may have a wrongful death action under the Illinois Wrongful Death Act. This statute allows you to recover for the pecuniary damages resulting from the death, as well as the loss of companionship and mental anguish and suffering you suffered from your loved one's death.

Laura A. Castagna joined Kelly & Castagna as an associate in 2011 and became a partner in 2019. Ms. Castagna earned her Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis in May, 2011. She also received a Masters of Art from the University of Illinois at Springfield in May 2007 and her Bachelors of Art from Eastern Illinois University in May 2004.

While in law school, she was a CALI Award recipient, awarded the "Best Brief" in an intra-school Moot Court competition, and was an executive board member of the Global Studies Law Review.

Ms. Castagna is admitted to the Illinois Bar and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, and the McLean County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and is a Fellow of the Illinois Bar Foundation.

Timothy W. Kelly graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1978. In 1997 he was voted by his peers as one of the top three attorneys in McLean County. Concentrating his practice in personal injury and malpractice, he has obtained record verdicts in two downstate counties.
