Matthew Katz

Matthew Katz is someone who for years has been committed to fighting for the rights of poor and minority communities, and now for his clients. Since 1989, he has been an organizer and participant in various projects and forms of social activism to improve the human condition and work to ensure that the civil rights to which we are all entitled are protected. John Rottier

John Rottier has been practicing law for five years. He is licensed by the state of Illinois and the state of Indiana as well as in in federal court for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Northern District of Indiana, and Southern District of Indiana. He has successfully handled hundreds of immigration and bankruptcy cases including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. He speaks English, Spanish, German and some Chinese and French. He is originally from Northwest Indiana, currently lives in Chicago and has lived abroad in Spain, German, Mexico, and Taiwan.

Luis Fernandez

Luis Fernandez is a Mexican attorney licensed with 13 years' experience in different areas of law, with experience in public and private institutions, including the Attorney General's Office where he worked in criminal and administrative areas. He obtained his Masters in Criminal Law. He has been a trial lawyer in family, civil and criminal areas.

Lisa Nosek

Jennifer Lorio graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration from Florida International University in Miami, Florida in 2009. She attended Loyola University Chicago and received her Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Health Law and Public Interest in May of 2013. She has worked as a clerk during her time in law school at various agencies such as the Department of Children and Family Services and the Health Justice Project at Loyola University. She was the assistant to the Director of the World Relief Chicago's Immigrant Legal Services, where she gained invaluable experience relating to immigration law and naturalization. She also volunteers her time as a pro bono translator for the National Immigrant Justice Center and immigration workshops for World Relief Chicago. She joined Katz Law Office in May of 2012, where she has gained experience in immigration, bankruptcy and family law. She is currently licensed in Illinois.

Bradley Schencker

Erika Muniz has been attorney licensed in Mexico for 14 years, she has experience as trail lawyer in Civil and Family Law. Erika speaks Spanish and English and has worked for international companies. Erika lives in Mexico City with her son and mother.

Abdul Tayob

Abdul A. Tayob was born in South Africa and raised in the United States. Growing up in St. Louis, MO, he is of course a Cardinals fan. Mr. Tayob enjoys working with people, experiencing different cultures, and serving the community. He is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Toyab's main practice areas include immigration, business/corporate law, civil litigation, and criminal defense.

Jessica Hernandez

Jessica Hernandez was born and raised in the border city of El Paso, Texas. She also lived in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico when she was a child. In the border city culture, Ciudad Juarez was seen as part of the city or just another part of the town. Ms. Hernandez's first language is Spanish. Her main areas of practice include immigration and family law.

Adam Kaney

Adam is an Ohio native who moved to Chicago in 2009. Coming from Ecuadorian descent, he grew up proficient in speaking both English and Spanish. With a strong interest in justice and an eye toward the law, Adam studied Political science with a focus on Criminology as a student at The Ohio State University. He moved to Chicago in 2009 to studied law at Chicago's John Marshall Law School. While in law school, Adam was an active member of John Marshall's Latino Law Student's Association. He also worked at the Veteran's Legal Clinic after obtaining his 711 law license as a student and defended our nation's veterans in federal court in various petty criminal charges.
After passing the bar, he practiced civil litigation at Robert A. Langendorf, PC for one year before joining Katz Law Office, Ltd in 2014. Since working at Katz Law Office, Adam has been a strong advocate for clients facing foreclosure and criminal charges. He has resolved hundreds of criminal matters with a 99% success rate of preventing jail time for his clients. He is a zealous advocate in the courtroom and commits to fighting hard for all clients in obtaining the best possible outcome for their legal issues.

Lauren Myerscough-Mueller

Lauren Myerscough-Mueller received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 2014. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2008 with a B.A. in Anthropology and Political Science. Before law school, she worked in politics in Washington, DC, including on the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Human Rights and the Law. In law school, she clerked for over a year on the Cook County Public Defender Homicide Task Force. After her admission to the Illinois Bar, Lauren became an Assistant Public Defender in Lake County, Illinois, before joining Katz Law Office, where she focuses on Criminal Law, Family Law, and Immigration Law.
