Katz Law Group, P.C.

The Katz Law Group is strictly a litigation firm that recognizes how important it is to understand fully the expectations and goals of each of our clients. Our decades of experience allow us to provide our clients with straightforward advice.

Firm Overview

When I started to practice law 35 years ago, my father, also a lawyer, offered me some thoughtful and exceptionally valuable advice: listen carefully, do your homework, and above all, maintain a sense of humor-because you are going to need it. I have to admit that Dad was right and his wise words resonate with me daily. Attentively listening to my clients and meticulously preparing their cases are indeed the hallmarks of success for both my clients and myself.

Working closely with each client, I identify ways to help them feel at ease. It helps establish approachability, confidence, and most importantly, trust. And an extension of the trust between my clients and myself is availability. I am that lawyer who gets on the phone with clients even on a Saturday because I understand that sometimes questions can't wait until the following Monday during regular business hours. I am that lawyer who may be dressed casually around the office but make no mistake, I am always a passionate advocate for my clients, no matter the time, the place, the attire. At the end of the day, successfully resolving a client's matter tells me that I am doing the right thing. And I am proud to say that, on occasion, after the successful conclusion of a case or matter, the opposing party, in that case, has hired me for a new legal matter saying "We need a guy like you." Those words are both reinforcement and reward to a lawyer like me.

During my career, I have gone to trial and arbitration in over 150 cases including, personal injury defense, business litigation, landlord-tenant, contract, construction and franchise matters. My experience comprises the entire litigation process and practice in all Massachusetts Courts.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR BUSINESS FROM THE INSIDE

At the Katz Law Group, we roll up our sleeves to be part of a client's business or to better understand a client's particular problem. We seek to grasp the unique business interests, culture, and goals of a client in order to protect that client's brand and legal rights. Sometimes our involvement includes visiting a construction site, attending a management meeting, or even going out to a client's business to better understand the mechanics of how that client's business operates. We make every effort to make your business and legal matter our business.

TARGETED EXPERTISE AND EFFICIENCY=OVERALL VALUE

My firm is committed to providing legal services of high quality at reasonable rates. Since my firm has the considerable business and trial experience, we are able to formulate realistic litigation and business strategies to fit each particular matter. At the inception of any case or matter, we diligently prepare a comprehensive action in order to guide the matter to an effective conclusion. Our evaluation and strategy are always developed with the insight and involvement of each and every client. We value teamwork and we know based on our many years of practice that teamwork consistently leads to the best results.

WE STAY IN TOUCH

At my firm, we keep you updated when you are not asking for an update. Whether it is a simple status email or a comprehensive memo, we strive to make our communications clear, concise and frequent. We also still understand that in this world of electronic communications, sometimes it is easier to just pick up the phone and call to discuss important issues or to just touch base.

Protecting your legal interests, brand and reputation is our number one mission.

Litigation
Our firm is 100% focused on civil litigation and trial work. As a result of this focus, our clients receive a better and faster result by a firm that knows what it is doing.
This firm handles employment related matters, contract litigation, landlord tenant litigation and consumer protection litigation.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

The answer is simple: We decided to practice in the civil litigation arena as it presented many challenges and interesting issues. Moreover, it has brought us in contact with many interesting clients over the years.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

The answer is simple: Experience and business judgment. What has made us successful over many years is our ability to see a client's problem from both a legal and business perspective. Given the array of businesses and clients we have represented, our experience in sharing insights from what we have learned in thousands of cases is invaluable to each client who joins our firm. We understand litigation to be a great teaching tool about what to do and what not to do in the course of running any business.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Three words: Persistence, Dedication and Results.
