H. Vance Smith

Vance Smith is a native of Tampa, Florida. After attending local public schools, he enrolled at the University of Miami where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1964. In 1968, a Juris Doctor degree was conferred by John B. Stetson University College of Law and he began the private practice of law as an associate with Macfarlane, Ferguson, Allison & Kelly. Over time, he served as a partner, managing partner and director of that firm. On August 15, 1997, he became a founding shareholder and president of Smith Clark Delesie Bierley Mueller & Kadyk with nine of his former partners at Macfarlane Ferguson. In 2008 he retired from Smith Clark and became Of Counsel to the successor firm of Kadyk Delesie & Espat. Vance established Resolution Solutions LLC to provide affordable mediation services as an adjunct to his continuing trial practice.

As a civil trial lawyer, Vance specializes in tort and commercial litigation on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. His trial practice has provided extensive experience in the state and federal courts throughout Florida and many regulatory agencies. He is also considered an expert in insurance matters both as a litigator and as an expert witness.
