Firm Overview

Are you working in a toxic environment in the State of California? Is going to work about as pleasant as banging your head against a wall? Federal and state laws prohibit discrimination, harassment and retaliation on the grounds of gender, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, medical condition, age, or marital status. If you believe you have a claim against your employer for such issues, contact Judith Wolff at Legal Employment Solutions today.

"My best cases aren't necessarily those that settle for a lot of money, although that's always nice. My best cases are those where my client is in a better place, financially and emotionally, at the end of the case, than when we first met." - Judith C. Wolff

Both federal and state laws in California prohibit discrimination in the workplace based on an employee's "protected characteristics" such as race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, gender age, or sexual orientation.

Here at Legal Employment Solutions, we are versed in handling a multitude of employment cases under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Pay Act of 1963, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as California's Fair Employment and Housing Act, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

My philosophy is that every client is different, and although there are many similarities in factual circumstances and emotional responses to being harassed in the workplace (depression and anxiety, along with reduced productivity at work, typically), solutions need to be crafted for the individual needs of each client. Lawsuits are great for some clients. And not for others. We can talk about what approach will work best for you.

Chances are, by the time you've found this web site things are going badly for you at work and you're worried - about getting fired or having to quit because it is so miserable working for your employer. Or maybe you've been fired and you're wondering what your rights are and what to do moving forward.

You may have experienced discrimination or harassment because of your gender, sexual orientation (LGBT), race, country of origin, ethnicity, age (over 40), because you have a medical condition the employer knows about, your religion, because you're pregnant, or a host of other categories protected by state and federal law.

It's impossible for me to know if you "have a case" unless I talk to you and assess your situation. What feels like hostile conduct isn't always necessarily illegal. What I can promise is, if I believe that you have been damaged, financially and/or emotionally, as a result of illegal conduct at work based on discrimination, harassment or retaliation, I will find a way to shape a solution for you.

Once I've determined you have a valid case and take you on as a new client, my approach is to investigate early, aggressively, and thoroughly to discover relevant facts as soon as possible. Strong facts are essential to a strong case. I also believe in demystifying the legal process for my clients. To the extent possible, I'll explain in layperson terms every step of the legal process before we go through it. I take only a few cases at a time so that I have the time, energy and focus to work intensively with and for my clients. Read my client testimonies here.

Whatever path you choose, I wish you the very best at work and at play. - Judith C. Wolff

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS:

"Judith is exceptional because she extremely responsive, trustworthy, knowledgable, reliable, and amazingly creative in her capacity to problem solve and meet the needs of her clients. Not only is she a phenomenal attorney, but her compassion is unprecedented. She goes above and beyond to help her clients and genuinely cares about their well being. I searched high and low for someone to take my case and at the end of the day, it was Judith who invited me to be her client. My case was not one that was likely to win a large sum by any stretch, but Judith knew I needed help. She truly believes in finding justice for her clients."

"Judith is an amazing lawyer. Judith stuck by my side for four years. She was always patient, supportive and caring. I never felt uncomfortable talking to Judith. She made it very easy for me to talk to her about some of the most difficult moments of my life. Judith was also very honest about our case. Judith always showed compassion, especially during the trial. I always felt safe with Judith. I have so much appreciation and respect for Judith. Thank you for being so amazing!"

"Judith is a brilliant, experienced, compassionate attorney. If you have the opportunity to work with her, you will not be in more capable hands."

"Making the decision to seek legal counsel is scary and knowing where to start is a struggle because it starts with choosing random names from a phonebook or Google search. I made a few calls, some attorneys dismissed me and others were too quick to want to sign me."

"Companies can be held accountable for their actions. I will always be grateful for Judith."

"Before hiring Judith as my lawyer, I was sexually harassed on the job. I was scared and knew I needed to seek legal action. One evening, I e-mailed Judith about my situation. She immediately called me and asked how I was doing. I was immersed in her kindness. I set up a consultation with Judith and I felt comfortable telling her my situation. She listens with great interest, provides an abundance of respect, and makes you feel at ease knowing she will fight for justice. I knew at that moment Judith was my lawyer."

"Throughout my case, Judith kept me informed throughout the entire process. If I had any questions or concerns she was always quick to respond. She explains everything in great detail and insures you understand. She is extremely professional and will make sure you are in line together as a team. I would recommend Judith to anyone who is looking for a strong lawyer to be by your side in justice."

"I've had Judith as opposing counsel on two large employment cases. I am a senior attorney, but I learned many new things watching Judith in action. She takes some of the best depositions I've ever seen. She can cut a witness to shreds, but is always professional and courteous. I refer people to her whenever I can."

"I have had experience with Judith based on a few different perspectives. First, I met the firm as a result of being a witness in a case they were arguing against. I have much experience with attorneys as a result of my law enforcement background. I was deposed by Judith who was very thorough and professional. As a result of my experience with her during our first meeting, I suggested her firm to a friend who was experiencing potential discrimination, and/or unfair hiring practices. Judith has been thoughtful and helpful to my friend."
