How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I chose our areas of practice to help children and families.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Our firm encourages clients to be well informed and educated on the legal issues relative to their case. An educated client helps our firm address any and all issues to ensure a successful outcome.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

We have had many clients over the years who could not afford to fully retain us. In those instances, we would be retained hourly to assist the client in representing themselves. We encourage these clients to have all documents reviewed by our firm prior to filing pleadings with the court.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

It is our firm's philosophy that there should be an attorney available for everyone, even if they cannot afford one. Therefore, we assist clients in representing themselves on an hourly basis. We also are one of the few firms that take payments with credit cards.

I have had the most amazing opportunity of representing children in dependency cases, family law cases and criminal cases (when children were victims or witnesses to crimes). I was the child's voice. All the other parties had attorneys, but what a unique and rewarding experience I had in so many facets of the legal realm to be the child's voice to the court. It was an extremely rewarding experience which educated in so many areas of the law that most family law practitioners have had this experience. It makes me a better attorney.

Our firm's strength is putting children first and ensuring the family's needs are met according to Florida law.

Personal interests:

I enjoy spending time with my family. We have three beautiful children who are the focus of my life. We enjoy outdoor activities, such as camping, swimming, scuba diving, and enjoying all that Florida offers.
