The Jordan Law Offices provides personalized legal services where our clients come first.
Scott Jordan is the primary attorney specializing in Asset Protection and Management Practices. When Scott left the corporate world, he decided to hang out his own shingle with the goal of helping others protect and keep their family legacy. Scott primarily helps individuals and families with their estate planning and asset preservation needs. Planning for the future is key to the success of your family. Why should the lawyers get what you have built? Scott believes that everyone will benefit from proper planning. No matter the size of your estate, you need to take care of it and allow it to grow.

If you have experienced some financial difficulties, Scott believes that Bankruptcy, Chapter 7, 13 or 11, is a valuable option in allowing families to keep their homes, pensions and other hard earned assets. Through bankruptcy, Scott has allowed families to obtain the fresh start they are entitled to. Scott's goal is simple: If it is yours now, it should remain yours later and should be passed onto to your family.

As his practice has continued to grow, Scott has incorporated special needs estate planning into his practice as well as conservatorships for those who did not plan earlier. Special needs trusts are for families with disabled children and allows their parents to be assured their loved ones will be taken care of, even when they cannot provide for them themselves. Sometimes, our older family members failed to adequately plan and require help, now that they cannot help themselves. Scott work's with you to make sure your mothers, fathers, uncles and aunts are not taken advantage of by unscrupulous friends and family.

Scott makes sure his clients' interests come first. He does not treat his clients as just another client. When you hire Scott Jordan as your attorney, you will work directly with him to accomplish your goals.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

When I left the corporate world, I was tired of working long hours and seemingly accomplishing nothing for my effort. When I hung out my own shingle, I chose an area of law that I was comfortable with and knew that I could feel a sense of accomplishment. Estate planning includes drafting Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney, all of which are crucial to the success of all families.

Early on in my practice, I had a family member come to me facing a failing business and mounting debts. We interviewed several bankruptcy attorneys, all of whom did not seem to care about the personal sense of failure he felt. I decided that this was no way to treat someone who was facing such a crisis. I then took it upon myself to learn bankruptcy and have been assisting individuals and families ever since.

My family has a long history of serving their country in the military. Although I did not serve, I decided to find a way to help those that did. I am not accredited with the Veteran's Administration to help veteran's and their families to obtain certain little known benefits to help out with their health care needs.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others

I have nearly 25 years experience in the legal field, as a law clerk, paralegal, manager and attorney. My experiences have taught me to place my clients on a pedestal and make sure their needs are understood and then satisfied.

I am a member in good standing with the California State Bar Association, the United States Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Contra Costa County Bar Association. I am also a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, having attended several national conferences.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

I believe that the client's needs come first. I treat every client as an individual who needs to be heard and understood. I know that many attorneys treat their clients as numbers and revenue generators. I do not believe that is right way to handle people seeking to resolve a problem.

Scott Jordan

After graduating college, I worked as law clerk for a fast paced personal injury firm in San Francisco. After 5 years, I left to go work for Kaiser Permanente as a Worker's Compensation Representative. In the 5 years I was in this position, I tried over 1000 cases and truly learned how to frame a case to my clients' advantage. I then moved to Hill Physicians Medical Group to develop and implement their Revenue Recovery Department.

While at Hill Physicians, I earned my law degree and passed the California State Bar Exam. I transitioned into the in-house counsel position, specializing in regulatory affairs and contracting.

After 10 years at Hill Physicians, I had the opportunity to leave and open my own practice in 2007. I have been a sole practitioner ever since, helping individuals and families with a variety of needs.

I have been happily married for 25 years with 3 wonderful daughters. I like to travel and would like to travel Asia soon. I am a golfer, being a member at Crow Canyon Country Club, and am helping my wife learn to play, now that our girls are all grown up.
