Thomas DiBiase is a Senior Partner and the Department Head for Worker's Compensation claims at Joel H. Schwartz, P.C.. He has been with the firm for over 30 years.
Mr. DiBiase attended Providence College, then obtained a B.A. in Political Science at the University of Rhode Island, cum laude. He continued to Boston University School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate in 1973. He was admitted to both the MA State Bar and District Court of Massachusetts in 1977. His Areas of Practice include Automobile Accidents, General Liability, and Worker's Compensation litigation.
Mr. DiBiase is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and Massachusetts Bar Association, and has been the Chair for the statewide Commission for Rights of Auto Accident Victims. For over 30 years, Mr. DiBiase has been successfully representing victims of terrible tragedies and has been involved with some of the highest recoveries in Massachusetts. In 2012, he was named to Boston's Top Rated Lawyers List which was published in the Boston Globe and the National Law Journal. His commitment naturally flows into his community where he is involved with the National Heart Association as well as the Peter Clark Foundation. As for personal interests, Tom is an avid walker and enjoys trying to figure out the game of golf.
Steven Schwartz is the Managing Partner of Joel H. Schwartz, P.C. and oversees its general operations. He is responsible for holding the firm to the highest standard and for maintaining its smooth and seamless performance. He ensures that every case has been properly assigned and that each and every client is cared for in the best possible manner.
Mr. Schwartz attended Harvard University in 1983 before receiving his B.A., Magna cum laude, in political science and psychology from the University of Rochester in 1988. He went on to
John M. Vlassakis is a senior associate at Joel H. Schwartz, P.C. and is the head of its litigation department. John's areas of expertise include automobile and trucking accidents, worker's compensation, general liability claims, and defective products. John has been with the firm for over 23 years, and prior to joining, worked for several years in the insurance claims industry as a supervisor. This past experience has been invaluable for negotiating personal injury cases. Because of his background, Attorney Vlassakis knows how the insurance industry thinks, and is able to use this knowledge to his advantage. As a result, John usually has his hand in the firm's most serious and complex cases, many resulting in six and seven figure settlements and verdicts.
Mr. Vlassakis attended the University of Massachusetts and received his bachelor's degree in Management and Economics. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Suffolk University Law School in 1988.
Mr. Vlassakis is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the American Association for Justice. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts.
A frequent lecturer for the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, Greater Boston Legal Services, and other forums, Attorney Vlassakis is concerned about educating not only attorneys, but also consumers who need the law to protect them. Outside the office, John enjoys tennis, fitness training, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Constance M. Toomey is a senior associate at Joel H. Schwartz P.C. and practices personal injury law, specifically in the areas of automobile accidents, general liability, worker's compensation and personal injury litigation.
Ms. Toomey attended Regis College and received a bachelor's degree in Spanish. She received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Suffolk University Law School in 1999.
Ms. Toomey is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.
Previously employed by Boston Legal Services and the Suffolk University Housing Clinic, Ms. Toomey is also involved in Catholic charities. She enjoys travel, reading and tennis.

Jerome Fox is a Senior Claims Adjuster at Joel H. Schwartz P.C., specializing in automobile accidents and general liability, and has worked for the firm for more than 20 years. He has extensive experience negotiating successful claims (where others have failed) with some of the most difficult insurance companies. The law firm is proud to have him as part of our team for such a long time.
Mr. Fox attended Boston College and received a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications with a minor in Marketing and Political Science. He also attended the branch management program at the New England Banking Institute.
Mr. Fox is very involved in the greater Boston community, serving as a volunteer for Project Bread, Walk for Hunger, United Way, Miracle Network Telethon, City Year Serve-a-Thon, All Walks of Life, Home Court Advantage and Knights of Columbus, Local 1078 Andover. He also enjoys basketball, baseball, hiking, reading and collecting memorabilia.
Attorney Wieremann is a senior associate at Joel H. Schwartz, P.C. and concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury litigation, workers compensation, disability,and discrimination matters. She practices throughout Massachusetts in both Superior and District Court as well as before the Department of Industrial Accidents. Attorney Wieremann also handles family law matters, including divorces, paternity actions, and modifications of child support and custody. Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Wieremann was an associate at a prestigious Brookline firm focusing on family law and general civil litigation matters. While in law school, she was an intern for the U.S. Attorneys Office, as well as three well-known civil litigation firms. Attorney Wieremann is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and Womens Bar Associations. Giving back to the community is very important to Angela: she has handled pro bono divorces on behalf of the Volunteer Lawyers Project and Womens Bar Associations.
Attorney Wieremann received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, and her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in 2006. Attorney Wieremann is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and the District of Massachusetts.
