Jeffries, Kube, Forrest & Monteleone Co., L.P.A., located in Cleveland, OH, focuses its practice on the areas of personal injury and wrongful death caused by medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, work place incidents and defective products in order to provide our clients with the most effective legal representation possible. Founded in 1979 by Sal Jeffries and Michael Monteleone, the firm has four experienced trial attorneys who promise to deliver excellent legal representation to people who have been seriously injured in an accident or by medical negligence.

As a small, experienced Ohio firm, we are able to offer each client personal and individualized attention in addressing and resolving their legal matters. We spend a great deal of time carefully listening to our clients so we can help evaluate their case, help them identify their goals, and fully understand and analyze the important legal issues involved with their case. Our clients are consulted at every stage of the legal process with competent, understanding advice and answers to their questions.

We are truly concerned about our clients and work hard to see that they are taken care of. This means we take a practical approach to each case and evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, make sure the client has realistic expectations about their case, and work toward a settlement of the matter. If a fair settlement cannot be obtained, we are willing and able to pursue the matter to trial in the best interests of our client. Opposing counsel knows us and knows that we aren't afraid to try a case. Whatever the approach, we will employ our best efforts for our clients and treat their matters as if they were our own, exercising the highest degree of judgment, integrity and discretion, We have a proven track record of representing our clients' interests and getting excellent results.

David Forrest

David has been licensed to practice law in Ohio since 1979. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Baldwin-Wallace in 1976 and earned his law degree from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1979. Dave is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Association for Justice (formerly Ohio Association of Trial Lawyers) from 1993 through 1999 and was the Section Chairman for Products Liability from 1995 through 1997. Dave regularly lectures other lawyers in Continuing Legal Education seminars with topics including medical malpractice, products liability, employment intentional tort and trial strategies. He was named a leading lawyer by Northeast Ohio Inside Business Magazine in 2002 and 2003 and a 2004 Ohio Super Lawyer by a Cincinnati magazine. For many years, Dave has volunteered his time as a speaker for Mothers' Against Drunk Drivers ("MADD") at MADD's driver awareness sessions.

Dave's practice areas primarily focus upon personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, products liability and Maritime Law. He also represents clients in employment discrimination and wrongful discharge cases.

Jarrett Northup

Jarrett is a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of law and a native Clevelander. His statewide practice is focused entirely on civil litigation: representing people injured by negligent or intentional conduct, dangerous/defective products, wrongfully terminated or wronged under a policy of insurance or other contract. Jarrett resides in University Heights with his wife and two sons. He is fluent in written and spoken Spanish.

M. Jane Rua

Jane practiced critical care nursing prior to attending law school, and has been licensed to practice nursing in Ohio since 1980. Mrs. Rua received her law degree from the Ohio State University College of Law and has been licensed to practice law since 1986. The focus of her practice is in preparing and litigating medical malpractice cases, and she has extensive trial experience. Mrs. Rua has lectured and instructed other lawyers on preparing and litigating medical malpractice cases, and has also educated nurses regarding issues of potential negligence and patient quality of care. She was honored by the Mahoning Trumbull County Academy of Trial Lawyers as an Outstanding Trial Lawyer, 1997. She is listed in the American Registry of Outstanding Professionals and Who's Who in American Law.
