Mediation or Litigation of all family law issues.
We encourage mediation as a way to solve divorce, custody and other family law issues in a way that reduces the level of conflict and is less costly than having a judge make these decisions for families.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Clients who have educated themselves with correct information make my job easier and reduce attorney fees. However, clients who rely upon gossip from friends and neighbors for their legal education make my job harder and increase fees.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am willing to review documents prepared by clients and it can work well for fairly simple forms.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Yes, I can coach from the sidelines.

During the Academic year of 2007-08, I taught at UC Davis School of Law, supervising the Family Protections Clinic.
2001-2004 - Associate Attorney with the Law Office of Donna L. Reed

I believe that in most family law cases, both parties have a better result through a mediated or negotiated approach. Most of the cases that I handle are resolved through one of those approaches.
