She opened her own firm, Janet E. Bostwick, PC, in 2001, to focus on all aspects of business bankruptcy and commercial workouts including Chapter 11 proceedings, reorganizations, loan workouts, out-of-court agreements and settlements, Chapter 7 proceedings, liquidations and wind-downs.

Ms. Bostwick takes an individualized approach, helping clients find the best solution for their specific situation. She helps creditors and others who deal with the impact of a bankruptcy identify their options and the best way to manage a resolution of their problems.

She has lectured frequently on bankruptcy issues for the American Bankruptcy Institute, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, the Boston Bar Association and other continuing legal education programs.

She earned a J.D. from Cornell Law School and a B.A. in economics and mathematics from the State University of New York at Albany. Prior to launching Janet E. Bostwick, PC, Ms. Bostwick practiced in Boston at the firms of Goldstein & Manello, PC, and Sherin and Lodgen, LLP.
