I enjoy practicing real estate because I can help people be successful outside of their career, assist them with their own real estate project, and expand my knowledge about real estate transactions to assist me in my own endeavors.
I find it can make my job easier and more difficult at the same time for clients to educate themselves on legal issues. It is easier because the client understands what I am talking about but more difficult because sometimes the client will get inaccurate information from various sources or they don't understand the information they have read.
Yes, I will review documents prepared by clients; but in most cases, I will want to edit and revise the documents.
I would recommend this sort of thing only in small claims court.
I worked at Bell & Ingrahm from 1980 to 1983 where I was an associate practicing real estate law and litigation. I then worked with Fisher, Kochen, and Ihnot as a partner where I practiced real estate law, medical malpractice and transactional work. I then moved from there to work at Hansen, Robinette, Krider, Ihnot, and Purcell, P.S. as a partner where I practiced real estate law, estate planning, and business transactions.
I have had many years of experience in both transaction work and in litigation, but probably the best experience that contributes to my legal expertise is transacting in real estate myself. I have been able to experience first hand the mistakes and pitfalls one can make in such transactions and therefore can give better legal advice on how to avoid them.
I am experienced and knowledgeable in the area of real estate law, and I have good business acumen.
I am laid back but professional.
I am an avid golfer. I played in college and have continued to do so since that time. I have an active interest in my children and their various activities.
