Firm Overview

Since establishing the firm more than 30 years ago, President James R. Gotwals has brought together a team of highly skilled associates and paralegals who work together to achieve results, whether in settlement negotiations or at trial. We are highly experienced in using forms of alternative dispute resolution, such as arbitration and mediation, and typically act as mediators in several resolution proceedings a week. Our attorneys also have a reputation as aggressive litigators, and have handled a wide range of reported cases in which significant assets were at stake. We have appeared on behalf of numerous clients in the United States District Court for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. As further testament to our standing in the legal community, our attorneys are regularly invited to speak at industry seminars on complex divorce, custody, and property division issues, and serve in the family law sections of prominent legal organizations, including the Tulsa County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Our small size and team approach allows us to provide results-oriented, cost-effective solutions to our clients' legal issues. We are committed to maintaining open lines of communication and tailoring our representation to unique needs of each client we take on.
