Heizler Pentony, P.C. Attorneys at Law

Heizler Pentony, P.C. Attorneys at Law

HEIZLER PENTONY is here to serve you. Our efficiently sized firm is designed to provide the real attorney-client relationship you want but can rarely get from the large law firms that you see advertising on television.

Firm Overview

At HEIZLER PENTONY you will never be just another client constantly redirected to low level staff members. With over 50 years of combined courtroom experience handling thousands of matters, we are here to put our honed trial skills to work for you. Whether it is a personal injury suit, an employment law dispute, a work injury, a municipal court / traffic court / DUI matter, or a family court / divorce case, we are here for you.

We are a service-first litigation firm located in the Giberson House just one block from the Ocean County Courthouse in Toms River, New Jersey.
Is Bigger Really Better?- NO

Our firm philosophy is that bigger is not better. We have worked for and against large law firms. Over 50 years of combined trial experience has taught us that clients deserve ongoing communication with the attorney who will be seated next to them at trial as opposed to low level associates, paralegals and secretaries. Large law firms are required to take a significant number of cases just to cover the operation costs like television advertisements and large phone book ads. In so doing, the client is often reduced to just another number. At first, the big firm client meets with a senior level partner who "sells" the firm. However, once the retainer is signed, the client will likely never speak to that partner again. Instead, the client is directed to a series of lower level staff members until the senior member of the firm decides that the client is again worthy of his time. This is not client service.

We are committed to client service. We are very selective in the cases we handle because we can afford to be. This allows us to better communicate with our clients. When you call here you will speak with the senior attorney responsible for handling the matter, not a low level staff member. If you call and we are unable to speak with you immediately we pride ourselves in making sure that we immediately contact you by phone or by email if you choose.

In a busy world it is very difficult to meet with your lawyer during regular business hours. We realize this. So do not hesitate to ask for evening or weekend appointments. If you can't make it to our offices, we will come to see you.

Being in litigation is difficult and stressful enough. Whether you have been injured by somebody, hurt on the job, wrongfully discharged, charged in municipal court or involved in a family court matter, we are ready to put our experience to work. This way you can live your life and leave the legal worries to us. We look forward to serving you.

Greg's ties to the coastal community date back to his childhood when his family spent summers on Long Beach Island. Like many vacationers, he learned to appreciate all that the Jersey Shore has to offer like surfing and fishing. But most importantly, he fell in love with the people who live here.

While working summer jobs as a lifeguard, as an ice cream man and as an owner of a bungee jumping site it became clear that the Jersey Shore would one day be called home. Greg lives in Island Heights where he is serving his sixth year as a re-elected Councilperson and currently leads on the Department of Revenue and Finance.

Greg is a graduate of the University of Delaware where he received a BA in Political Science. In 1990 he was accepted into the University of Pittsburgh's Semester At Sea program where he spent a semester circling the globe by ship studying the cultures, economies and politics of the nations that he visited. Thereafter, he attended the Widener University School of Law and graduated in 1995.

In 1994 he began his law career as a summer law clerk, at Novins, York & Pentony, a large, established firm in Toms River where he remained as an associate for 12 years. While there Greg gained extensive trial experience in personal injury cases representing both the injured and the insured, he also developed a practice which focuses on the ever changing field of Employment Law and Workers' Compensation Law. During his tenure he also developed a solid municipal court practice.

In 2006 Greg left the big firm to open his own practice here in Toms River. On March 17, 2008 we proudly announced that Kenneth Pentony, Esq., Greg's friend and former senior partner, joined him to form our current firm, HEIZLER
