I primarily handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies for individuals, but also represent clients in criminal and traffic matters. My partner, Irene Gasparis focuses on family law matters, including divorces, child support, child custody and paternity cases. We also represent clients in personal injury cases, real estate matters and business matters.
Irene Gasparis opened her office in Crown Point in 1993 and I began clerking for her in 1995. After passing the bar, I was her associate until June 2000, when we became partners and opened our second office in Valparaiso.
Client recently divorced, spouse disappeared and does not pay child support and she's stuck with all of the marital debt. Filed Chapter 7 for her. One and a half years after receiving her discharge and putting everything behind her, she was able to buy a house with a very low interest rate.
We offer a free initial consultation on all cases.
We charge a flat-fee for Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Please call for specific information.
Monday through Friday

Evening and weekend appointments are available upon request.
I enjoy helping individuals get a fresh start.
It's ok for clients to educate themselves on legal issues and to do research at a library or on the internet, but this should only be used for general information. If you need help on a specific issue, an attorney should be consulted.
I am willing to review documents prepared by my clients.
I prefer not to "coach" clients who want to represent themselves.
While in law school, I worked for Attorney Gus Galanos in Merrillville, Indiana.
I was born, raised and live in the region. My father was union steelworker and my mother was a teacher. I have personal experience of how an unforeseen illness or lay-off can cause a family financial stress and hardship. I can personally relate to the many families who are going through similar situations during these tough economic times.
Our office and staff members are very friendly and we have a relaxed, but still professional, style. Going to see a lawyer or going to court can be very stressful for clients, but after they have a chance to meet with us, they feel relief and are very glad they came to us.Personal interests:
Chicago Cubs, Notre Dame Football, and traveling.
