Scott J. Chafin, Jr.

Scott J. Chafin began his career as a prosecutor for the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office where he obtained extensive trial experience. He then worked for a firm representing the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, the Shreveport Police Department and insurance clients in State and Federal Courts. With his trial experience gained as a prosecutor, and experience working in State and Federal Courts, Scott then began representing individuals and families at the firm. In 2014, Scott became the Managing Partner for the firm and his practice is dedicated exclusively to plaintiffs' personal injury law. As part of his work, Scott is actively involved with the AAJ National Trial Academy, the organization dedicated to training plaintiff's lawyers. J. Dhu Thompson

Dhu began his law career by representing the Louisiana State Department of Insurance. In 2002, he joined the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney where he advanced to become an original member of the Special Homicide Offender Unit. In 2004, Dhu joined the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney assigned to the prosecution of homicide and violent offender cases. Dhu was the lead prosecutor in the successful prosecution of Michael Kevin Hailey which is referenced in the book "Among Murders and Madness." Currently, Dhu is a Special Assistant District Attorney assigned to homicide and violent offender prosecutions.
