Firm Overview

Ginsberg & Associates was started twenty years ago to protect injured workers rights in claims against the insurance carriers.

It had been our experience that the adjusters for the insurance carrier would often attempt to befriend the injured worker and thru delay and misinformation deny the injured workers their just benefits. It is our experience that injured workers are looking to get back to work as quickly as possible. The employees want to get back to their normal activities as well as returning to their previous income levels. Adjusters often take the viewpoint that injured workers are seeking a "free ride". We adamantly disagree with that philosophy. We assist our clients by obtaining the maximum benefits they are entitled to under the workers compensation statutes.

Ginsberg & Associates handles a wide variety of workers compensation claims including compensability, extent of injury issues, disability, average weekly wage, multiple employers, medical entitlement to services, dispute of maximum medical improvements, and impairment ratings.

Our attorneys appear regularly at hearing offices throughout the State including but not limited to Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton, Abilene, Wichita Falls, Lubbock, Waco, Austin, San Antonio and Houston.

I began practicing in Texas in 1993. I can still remember my first client. I had recently gone downtown to the courthouse in Dallas in order for a District Court Judge to swear me in and sign my license to practice law. As I was leaving the courthouse, I heard a man threaten his ex-wife with bodily injury and that she would be sorry for divorcing him. The women was asking everyone that passed by if they heard him threaten her and would they testify. I watched as everyone passed the lady and declined to even look at her much less answer her plea for help. I approached the women and said I would testify for her. When she discovered I was a lawyer, she asked if she could hire me. She became my first client. Her husband was the one who ultimately regretted making that comment.

She taught me that law is not just for the big corporations or insurance companies that tend to dominate the legal market. The law is a place to resolve disputes for individuals as well.

This lead me to the area of workers compensation, because I soon learned that many injured workers in the State of Texas suffer from a lack of knowledge of how the system works and the inherent pitfalls that trip up the uninformed.
