Paul C. Germolus has been in the practice of law in Bismarck, North Dakota for 20 years, and is a founding partner of the Germolus Knoll LLP Law Firm. His primary areas of practice are business and commercial transactions, real estate transactions and real property law, agricultural law, oil and gas and estate planning.

Paul formerly served as a North Dakota Assistant Attorney General for seven years, and while in that capacity represented the Agriculture Commissioner, Oil & Gas Division of the Industrial Commission, North Dakota Game and Fish Department, State Seed Department and numerous other State natural resource agencies.

He also spent five years as a sole practitioner in Bismarck and six years as a partner in another Bismarck law firm. Before his legal career, Paul was involved with his family's farming operation, worked for a crop consulting company, and spent five years with the Archer Daniels Midland Company as a commodities merchandiser.

He received his B.S. degree from North Dakota State University in agricultural economics and his juris doctor degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law. Paul is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of North Dakota and the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota. Paul is a member of: American Agricultural Law Association (Member since 1997); State Bar Association of North Dakota (Member, Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law); and Big Muddy Bar Association.

Steven Leibel

Steven J. Leibel grew up in Aberdeen, SD, and graduated with a B.A. from North Dakota State University in 1997 with degrees in English and Political Science. Steve received his juris doctorate in 2001 from Baylor Law School in Waco, TX.

Steve is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell*, and has participated in arbitrations, jury, and bench trials. Steve has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of personal injury and professional liability, and has served as panel counsel for a number of nationwide insurance companies advising them on coverage issues and providing defenses for their insureds. In 2007, Steve was part of a three-attorney trial team in Albuquerque, NM that obtained a $53,200,000.00 jury verdict in favor of his client after a two and one-half week jury trial**. At the time, this verdict was believed to be the largest single-plaintiff personal injury verdict in New Mexico history. Steve has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico Law School, where he taught legal writing. Steve has been admitted to practice in the State of North Dakota, the State of New Mexico (inactive), the State of Texas (inactive), United States District Court for the District of North Dakota, the District of New Mexico, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Steve focuses on the areas of personal injury, insurance law, and business litigation, including construction and real estate disputes.

Paul Germolus

Paul C. Germolus has been in the practice of law in Bismarck, North Dakota for 20 years, and is a founding partner of the Germolus Knoll LLP Law Firm. His primary areas of practice are business and commercial transactions, real estate transactions and real property law, agricultural law, oil and gas and estate planning.

Paul was raised on a farm outside Borup, Minnesota where he was involved with his family's grain and livestock farming operation. In 1989, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University in agricultural economics and a minor in business administration, with additional emphasis in agronomy courses. During his undergraduate years, Paul was employed by Centrol, Inc., an agronomic consulting firm, where he provided a variety of field scouting and crop consulting services.

Following graduation, Paul was employed as a commodities merchandiser for the Archer Daniels Midland Company from 1989 to 1994. Stationed in Ontario, Canada, Paul worked at the largest fully integrated multi-oilseed crushing and refining facility in Canada. His responsibilities included merchandising cereal grains, oilseeds, protein meals, and refined edible oils, truck and rail logistics, coordination of the U.S. canola oil export program, and managing sales of Canadian Government-subsidized packaged oil exports to third-world nations.

Returning to law school in 1994, Paul received a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in 1997, with an emphasis on courses in environmental and agricultural law. While in law school, Paul was employed as a law clerk for the City Attorney's Office, and the law firm of Letnes, Marshall & Swanson, Ltd. After law school, Paul was employed with the Letnes Firm as an associate attorney, practicing in the areas of Municipal Law, Insurance Law, Commercial Law and Estate Planning.

In 1998, Paul was appointed as an Assistant Attorney General in North Dakota; serving in that capacity for seven years. During that time, Paul represented the Agriculture Commissioner, Oil & Gas Division of the Industrial Commission, North Dakota Game and Fish Department, and numerous other State natural resource agencies. In February, 2005, Paul founded Germolus Law Office, and worked as a sole practitioner for four years. Prior to forming Germolus Knoll LLP, Paul was a partner in another Bismarck law firm.

Paul is licensed to practice in all state courts in North Dakota, and the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota.
