He was a former Chairman of the Small Business Advisory Board, City of Sacramento. Mr. Gavrilov is also a co-founder of the Annual Bulgarian Film Festival in San Francisco.

J. Edward Brooks
Licensed by the State Bar of California since 2006, Ed Brooks has worked in both the public and private sectors. He began his career as a Deputy District Attorney where he successfully prosecuted numerous jury trials and developed expertise in a wide variety of criminal matters.
Mr. Brooks then transitioned to civil litigation where he worked for a premiere boutique law firm representing employers in both federal and state courts and administrative agencies. He has developed a reputation as a relentless trial attorney capable of handling a wide spectrum of civil law cases.

Michael was born and raised in Washington, D.C. After graduating from New York University in 2004, he moved to Los Angeles, where he worked in the film and television industry.
In 2007, Michael moved to Nashville, Tennessee to work on the campaign of a well known congressman turned mayoral candidate. After the election, Michael was hired by the candidate's general counsel to work at one of Nashville's premier civil litigation firms.
Under the tutelage of the firm's two senior partners, Michael worked closely on several large and prominent cases. Recognizing his natural ability to understand and digest complex cases, the partners routinely relied upon Michael to provide his legal and strategic insight. Michael second chaired countless depositions and several trials. He also drafted several winning dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment in both state and federal court, and winning appellate briefs in the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Michael left the firm in 2010 and moved to Sacramento to attend the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of law. While in law school, Michael was a staff writer for the McGeorge law review, a competitor on the school's elite moot court team, and a teammate on the school's mock trial team. Michael graduated with distinction in May 2013 and was inducted into the Robert J. Traynor honor society.
As a practicing attorney, Michael has successfully represented clients at both the trial level and on appeal. Michael's practice primarily consists of appeals, and law & motion.
