Flesher McKague LLP is a law firm with experienced trial lawyers. Our lawyers have successfully defended and prosecuted cases in both federal and state court. With over 40 collective years of litigation experience, our lawyers litigate cases in a variety of fields. While our lawyers traditionally specialized in defending employment, general liability/personal injury, construction defect, product liability, premises liability, professional liability, and railroad cases (including Federal Employers' Liability Act, asbestos, occupational claims, and crossing cases), we have also prosecuted and defended cases relating to numerous other practice areas.

Brett McKague

r. McKague has in excess of 20 years of litigation experience representing corporate clients and individuals in both federal and state court. Mr. McKague has successfully represented clients in numerous trials and arbitration proceedings. Of note is his successful appeal before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal in the case of McQuirk v Donnelly (9th Circuit 1999) 189 F.3d 793.

He has handled in excess of 250 complex personal injury and wrongful death cases for transportation and construction industry clients. In addition, he routinely handles complex business litigation and construction defect cases. A growing area of his practice is representing self-insured business owners. Mr. McKague also serves as outside general counsel to several California companies.

Mr. McKague graduated in 1988 with highest honors from California State University, Chico with a B.S. in Political Science. Thereafter, he attended law school where he received an American Jurisprudence Award for excellence in the subject of contracts. He graduated in 1992 from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Prior to becoming a partner in Flesher McKague he was a founding member of the San Francisco based law firm of McKague & Tong, LLP.

Mr. McKague is licensed to practice law in both California as well as Texas. He is an active member of various professional organizations including the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and the National Railroad Construction Association.
