Jeremy Eveland

Jeremy grew up in Southern California, about an hour North of Los Angeles and is the third of six children. As a child, Jeremy roller-skated on beach paths and surfed in the Pacific Ocean. Jeremy really enjoyed going with his Grandpa on airplane rides where they flew over Catalina Island and Disneyland. Jeremy always enjoyed reading as a child and has never stopped reading. He believes that leaders are readers and so whether its studying the latest changes in the legal field or a business novel, Jeremy is usually found with a book. It's no wonder Jeremy went into the legal field.

Jeremy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a minor in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University, a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in International Business, and a Juris Doctorate degree, Cum Laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law. After law school, Jeremy was personally selected to serve as a clerk for Justice Mark W. Gibbons of the Supreme Court of Nevada and subsequently worked as an attorney for a Carson City law firm before he began his own practice.

Jeremy is currently a judge and attorney focusing in the areas of business law, real estate law, estate planning, asset protection, and contracts law. He has been an attorney and consultant to business owners helping companies and individuals avoid many legal pitfalls. Jeremy enjoys helping business owners protect and preserve their personal assets from lawsuits and, at the same time, improve the owner's business operations ensuring that the business is legally compliant and that the owner's contracts and forms are adequately protecting the business owner's interests. Jeremy is an author of 3 books, has written several articles on business and legal topics, and has been quoted in the Salt Lake Tribune. Jeremy is actively licensed in Utah, Nevada, and California. He lives in Utah with his wife and two sons.

Jared Pearson

Although Jared primarily grew up in Idaho, he has lived and worked in a number of different states, including Hawaii, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, and Utah. Jared enjoys the outdoors immensely and during the summer months can often be found dirt biking or rock climbing. He also enjoys camping, hiking, boating, hunting and skiing. When Jared does find some quite time he can often be found with a book or two, and he also enjoys and excels in writing.

Jared received his Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Weber State University and graduated on the Dean's List with honors. Upon receiving his degree Jared spent two years in Washington DC working for Paltech, a government contracting firm, wherein Jared worked with some of our nation's senators and congressmen in order to secure bids and funding for the education of children in third-world countries

While living in DC, Jared worked with many lawyers and decided that he could accomplish more of his lifelong goals by becoming an attorney. Jared attended Brigham Young University Law School and clerked for Gordon & Rees in Las Vegas during the summers of law school. Upon graduation Jared was offered a job with Gordon & Rees but decided to stay in Utah and has been practicing in Utah ever since.

Before coming to Eveland & Pearson, Jared practiced law in both Salt Lake and Utah Counties and represented companies and individuals in a number of matters, including family law, contract disputes, personal injury, real estate transactions, criminal defense, and bankruptcy. Jared's knowledge and experience in many avenues of law allows him to offer his clients representation in a wide range of legal matters. Jared takes pride in the fact that most of his cases stem from client referrals or repeat business. Jared is committed to giving back to the community and he offers bro bono services to those in need on a case by case basis.

Carlos Trujillo

Carlos Trujillo was born and raised in San Antonio de los Altos, Venezuela. At the age of 18 he moved to the United States because he believed that all things are possible if you are willing to work hard for them. However, this decision brought along struggles, challenges, and achievements that have helped to mold the person that he is today.

Carlos has always had a passion for sports. He grew up playing soccer, basketball and volleyball. He enjoys watching every sport just as much as playing them. In the summertime he enjoys hiking, swimming, biking and anything outdoors with his family. He also enjoys travelling to any place that has a beach.

Carlos started his higher education at LDS Business College, where he obtained an Associates of Business Degree and a one year Certificate in Accounting. He continued his education at The University of Utah, obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. While studying at the University of Utah, he was able to be an intern at the IRC (International Rescue Committee).

Carlos was awarded the Pete Suazo Award from the Hinckley Institute of Politics, for his outstanding work as an intern. Carlos attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan, where he graduated Cum Laude. To conclude his law school education, he spent his last semester clerking for the Honorable Judge Thorne at the Utah State Court of Appeals as an extern.

Carlos is licensed to practice law in Utah, and is a member of The Utah Minority Bar Association. He currently resides in Utah with his wife and two kids.
