We have extensive practice in all areas of Real estate practice but currently have focused in the areas of Title issues, real estate transfers, short sale negotiations, loan modifications and foreclosure defense. In the area of bankruptcy we handle both chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies. We have dedicated ourselves to dispelling the myths of bankruptcy and are educating our clients to its overall benefits particularly its benefits in staying a foreclosure, and allowing the debtor to pay back arrears over time. Due to the fact that we have practiced in the area of real estate for so long, we get a lot of our cases from clients needing to file bankruptcy to stay a foreclosure. Services Offered For Fixed Fees?
For the most part we do not have fixed-prices but determine the fee after having a consultation with the client and determining the level of work that will be necessary. For bankruptcy we are much more able to quote a fixed-fee but, we still meet with the client first to determine what needs to be done as a solution to their problem. We try not to quote fees over the phone. The cost of a service, though important, should be one element of selecting an attorney and we would love to demonstrate to the client at the consultation why they should select us. We believe that competence and comfort-level are as important as the fee.
Our hourly rate is $250.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?
When the financial downturn began and the foreclosures started rising, bankruptcy became a natural area to gravitate to. It gave me the opportunity to help people save their homes and to help people, in general, get a fresh start after financial hardship.
What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
I think it is always beneficial for clients to educate themselves on legal issues. It demonstrates that they have a genuine interest in the matter and it makes the client a better partner in their representation. Therefore, I am all for it, except for the rare occasion when they cross the line and start practicing law without a license.
Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?
I have no aversion to reviewing documents prepared by a client but, I do explain to them that it will not always be the less expensive route because sometimes reconstructing a document is harder and therefore, takes more time. That said, sometimes it is actually more efficient and less costly to have the attorney draft the document from the start.
Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
I have done this in the past but do not make a practice of it. I will usually do this in situations where for example, I have written a letter on the client's behalf and the letter did not resolve the matter and the client has to go the next step to file suit in small claims court where many people represent themselves. I will then "coach the client up" so that they can represent themselves effectively.
I have been in private practice since 1992. I have practiced in many areas including Real Estate, Bankruptcy, Corporate law, Immigration, Municipal Bond Finance, Personal Injury and Estate Planning, among other areas. I always view myself as a regular person. I sympathize and empathize with people and their problems and their pain. Clients feel this connection. At the end of a consultation my clients often hug me. I impart confidence to my clients because I know what I am doing. Additionally, because I also feel for them, my clients come back to me again and again and refer family and friends. My strength starts with my ability to make my clients feel comfortable. This disarms them and decreases any anxiety that they may have. Once they feel comfortable I am able to get so much more out of them. They then begin to trust in me and my competence and the fact that no matter what they are experiencing, I am going to do my best to help them.Personal interests: Raising and loving my family including my two dogs, I am an avid Sports fan in general but especially enjoy basketball and football. I am also a real life "fashionista" and my clients love to see my outfits and shoes. We have great fun with me modeling for them as we walk towards the conference room from the reception area. It's all in good fun then we get down to the business of helping them. I love people and I love being a part of the process of redirecting them from negative situations to more positive situations.
