Medical Malpractice
Elk & Elk's Ohio medical malpractice lawyers: experienced, resourceful and proven.
When the quality of care you receive comes into question and a health care provider's negligence is to blame, you need an Ohio medical malpractice attorney with the experience to recognize fault and assess the damage, the resources to examine your specific situation, and the track record to obtain the best result.

Our malpractice lawyers at Elk & Elk have nearly 50 years of experience delivering top-notch legal help to victims of medical mistakes. The team's recent results include a $10 million verdict in a paralysis case and a $9.88 million verdict for a birth injury claim. Most important, we can provide understandable answers to the complex questions of what happened and why.

When you suspect that the quality of care you or a loved one received was substandard, let the Ohio medical malpractice team at Elk & Elk work hard to help you get the compensation you need to recoup your expenses and quality of life. Our medical malpractice lawyers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Nursing Home
The Ohio injury lawyers at Elk & Elk stand against nursing home abuse and neglect.
The extent to which dependent adults in assisted living facilities are abused and neglected is largely unknown. They rely upon nursing home staff to take care of their basic needs, which makes it especially devastating when those needs are ignored. The experienced Ohio lawyers at Elk & Elk Co., Ltd., want to help you fight for the rights of your loved ones.

Elk & Elk's Ohio medical malpractice lawyers have almost 50 years of experience representing honest, hardworking people who have been injured by the negligence of others. We have the tools and resources necessary to take on big corporations, insurance companies and courtroom-savvy defense attorneys. Our firm staffs its own doctors, nurses, radiologists, accountants, economists, life care consultants, forensic investigators and experts. And when we take your case, we put all these resources to work without asking for an upfront dime from you.

The obscurity of elder abuse is due in part to the largely off-limits status of nursing facilities and hospice agencies to the media and public at-large. Add to this the number of recent regulatory agency budget cuts and the stress placed on likely overworked and underpaid elder-care facility regulators not to mention the elder-care labor force itself and it's no surprise that many victims of nursing home neglect and elder abuse just fall through the cracks. That's enough to make anyone who has a loved one in an elder-care facility think twice about his or her comfort and safety.

Elk & Elk's Ohio medical malpractice lawyers have the experience, the drive, the resources and the confidence to fight tooth-and-nail to make sure you and your family are not taken advantage of. How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Ohio's iconic personal injury law firm, Elk & Elk, is a family business with its roots in rural Ohio. The vision of two brothers, David and Arthur Elk, started back in 1984. Art, as a two-term Prosecuting Attorney of Ashland County, recognized the need to bring a specialty practice of injury law to rural Ohio. He recalls, "Rural Ohioans were being taken advantage of by big insurance companies and the big wall street corporations who were more interested in profit than people."

Today, our team is comprised of more than 100 professionals, including 18 attorneys and a dynamic support staff comprised of dedicated paralegals, nurses, investigators, accountants, accident reconstructionists and other injury experts.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others
