Kevin Dugan spent the past 23 years as a Chief Judge for Social Security Disability hearings. Upon stepping down from this position, Kevin decided to represent deserving people, like you, who may be wrongly denied the disability benefits they deserve, through the offices of Dugan Disability Law.
Former Hearing Office Chief Judge for Social Security Disability,Kevin also served as an officer in the National Judges Association, seeking to ensure that Judges were able to fairly decide cases as they thought necessary. He has worked as a trainer for the Disability Judges. He was the head of the Fort Lauderdale Hearing Office with the goal of improving service to the thousands of Floridians. He has worked to reform the Disability System with the Commissioner of Social Security, the Social Security Advisory Board, and Congress. He even testified before Congress concerning the Disability System. He has been a speaker for a number of claimant organizations, including the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSCCR). He has worked with different legal aid groups in a joint effort to improve the system for the most needy.
Kevin insists on knowing each client personally and making sure they understand the system and what to expect. He uses all of his experience inside the system to present their case in the best manner possible. He has seen numerous times the difficulty facing claimants due to their medical problems, financial difficulties, family pressures, and an overwhelmed disability system that takes to long to reach a decision. He intends to do everything possible to help his clients.
Yes. At our first meeting, your concerns will be heard. You will tell me everything that is happening to you and your Social Security disability claim. You can share whatever you think is relevant. You will tell me your medical conditions in detail. Your questions will be answered.
At the first opportunity, we will go over your medical records together. At all times, you will receive our advice and guidance. Throughout this process, I will be there to deal with the government on your behalf, and I will evaluate your claim to see if it qualifies for an early decision.
When it is time for the hearing, we will prepare thoroughly, together, so that you will be able to present your story in a clear and consistent manner. Since you will have shared everything with me during the process, I will be able to communicate to the Judge just who you really are. Together we will be able to help the Judge understand the reality of your situation.
