How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

After law school I was initially hired at a firm to work on Social Security Disability Claims. Within only a few months I realized that helping disabled individuals get the benefits that they need and deserve was my calling in life. Because of my desire to represent disabled individuals, I have limited my practice to helping people obtain Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for the past 18 years. I opened by own firm 5 years ago to give me more flexibility in giving my clients the personal attention that their case needs.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others

I have represented thousands of individuals in Social Security disability claims. I am certified as a Social Security Disability Specialist by the TN Commission on CLE and Specialization and the National Board of Legal Specialty. I am one of only 9 Social Security disability specialists in the State of Tennessee.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

I have practiced Social Security Disability law for over 18 years. My practice is limited to ONLY Social Security disability law. I strive to do one type of law - and do it well. When an individual hires me, I guarantee that I will be the only attorney that handles their case. I do not have other less experienced attorneys in my office that I will pass a client's case to.

Unlike some law firms that have may have an inexperienced support staff, my paralegal has over 15 years experience in handling Social Security Disability cases. She has worked with me during the majority of that time. In addition to being kind and supportive to our clients, she is very knowledgeable regarding the Social Security Disability process.
