How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I enjoy the challenge of being a trial lawyer. It is of course not combat, but it is competitive and this is what drives me to succeed.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I always encourage this, if the client is interested in doing so, but I do not force it. Knowing the law is my job.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I will always review them if requested to do so. I will insist on it if they are crucial to our case.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I generally do not do this. Representing clients is my job.

Donald R. Wild

Before starting my own firm, I worked as an associate and later as a partner in three successive Los Angeles-based civil litigation firms. The mix of cases was generally similar to what I handle now.

My degree in mechanical engineering and my work thereafter in the manufacturing industry, along with my competitive nature as a scholarship football athlete in college and a club lacrosse player for 13 years after that, have contributed to my skills and track record as a trial lawyer. As a once practicing engineer I can usually evaluate and explain how accidents happen and how products malfunction. I believe also that the competitive drive I developed and as an athlete help me as well.

My strengths are in explaining my client's case in simple and believable terms, and in persuading juries that I am presenting an honest picture of my client's case without omissions or exaggeration.

Personal interests:

Working out, running, some spectator sports, reading, and auto racing events (I raced previously owned sports cars for many years at the club level, but have retired from that). I enjoy my time off, but my energy and principal focus remain directed to my law practice.
