Yes, it is important that a client's voice is expressed in any document when practicable. I try to make sure that the documents are technically correct, expressing the true desire of the client and has his or her best interests in mind.
I often will coach people for whatever reason who can not afford an attorney or if it is easier and more cost-effective to represent themselves. I will provide them with the pros and cons as necessary.
