Criminal Defense
When a person is accused of a crime, we advise that person to exercise their right to remain silent and to seek counsel immediately.
There are four possibilities in criminal cases:

Defendant did it, Prosecutor can prove it, Guilty.
Defendant did not do it, Prosecutor cannot prove it, Not guilty.
Defendant did it, Prosecutor cannot prove it, Not guilty.
Defendant did not do it, Prosecutor can prove it, Guilty.
DUI and DWI
A Michigan drunk driving charge can have a serious impact on your life, with penalties including fines, high insurance rates, the loss of your license and/or jail time. The law firm of Di Rezze & Associates, P.C. can help you.
The ramifications of a drunk driving conviction can be disastrous, and the Michigan statutes utilize a stacking method in providing for sentencing and licensing sanctions. This means that if you are convicted of DWI for a second time (within 7 years), the penalties and sanctions are more severe. Likewise, if you are convicted of a third offense in a lifetime, the penalties and sanctions are even more severe.

Our attorneys can help you at any stage in the criminal process. From your initial arrest to sentencing and appeal, we can provide you with the skilled defense and advocacy you need.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

No one is above the law. But that shouldn't mean that a mistake should ruin the rest of your life. Criminal law is a passion. There are a lot of moving parts to criminal law. It takes time to build on the law. The attorneys at Di Rezze & Associates, P.C. have all gravitated and mastered the art of Criminal Law. It takes time, patience and resources. All of which we have.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

There are no secrets in the criminal justice system. The Constitution of the United States as well as each individual states set forth a set of guidelines that must be followed. Our firms philosophy is simple: use the tools provided to all attorneys to secure the best result for our clients. A good lawyer has a full and complete understanding of all aspects of the law. When choosing a lawyer, be sure to remember, this is your future invest well.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Almost all attorneys, on surface, try to distinguish themselves from their fellow colleagues. They think of it as a business. In order to survive, they must be appealing and almost always, the art of lawyering gets lost. Compassion and knowledge are the two things clients look for in an attorney. Our clients will testify to our integrity, compassion and knowledge.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

Absolutely. In order to remain a good lawyer, in my opinion, you must help those in need at a time where they seem helpless. Attorneys take an oath that is easily forgotten. Our firm remembers that we serve our community first.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Yes! This is something that almost all attorneys do not like to do. We understand that sometimes, you may not be in the right financial situation, but that should not mean that you do no not deserve the best help possible.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Our firm believes that is one of our jobs as attorneys; to educate our clients on their current situation. We are not afraid to give away our secret.

The problem with our clients educating themselves outside of our guidance is that they may not receive accurate information which may result in furthering the problem. We are here to help provide any and all legal advice. Call us. We are happy to serve.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes! Absolutely!

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Not applicable to our area of practice.

What are your firm's strengths and style?

Well, our style is pretty simple. We like to win!

Is your firm willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Yes! Representation for a Probation Violation is an example of such.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

When one attorney is involved, the whole firm is involved.

Arghavan Di Rezze

After moving to this country at the age of 14 Mrs. Arghavan Di Rezze made it her mission to become a lawyer and serve those less fortunate than her. Prior to earning her Doctorate at Wayne State Law School, she served as the law clerk to the Hon. Travis M. Reeds, at the 52-1 District Court in Novi where she obtained tremendous knowledge about criminal law as well as other aspects of the law.
Given the complexity of the criminal justice system, the need for continued legal education is at an all-time high. The attorneys at Di Rezze & Associates, P.C., never stop learning. The reality of it is, you just can't afford to, for the sake of your clients.
