Since day one our firm has specialized in representing serious injury victims. Founding partners Catherine Lerer and I are a husband and wife team.
What sets our firm apart is the importance we place on providing personalized service to our clients and getting them maximum compensation. We are not a "personal injury mill" (i.e., a law firm that handles a high volume caseload, most of the work is performed by non-attorneys. and cases are turned over quickly for less than full value). We are selective in the number of cases that we take on so that we are able to provide the personalized attention that each client deserves. When you hire McGee, Lerer & Associates, you get Catherine and me as your attorneys. Your case is not assigned to a team of non-lawyers. Your case is handled by Catherine and me from beginning to end.
My firm, McGee, Lerer & Associates, was established in 2003, when I partnered up with my wife, Catherine Lerer. We both left larger personal injury law firms, in order to create a boutique law firm, with a small case load, where we could provide a level of personalized service that we don't see elsewhere in the legal community.

I chose personal injury because of the profound impact that it has on the lives of accident victims. I have seen all too often how an accident that took a mere few seconds can result in life-altering consequences. As I tell juries: I know that money cannot give my client back his or her former good health, but it can make the pain easier to bear.
I encourage clients to educate themselves about their case. I want them to ask questions and stay involved in the case. Our clients are partners with us on their case; we work as a team. I generally find that the more involved a client is, and the more information-sharing there is between the attorney and the client, then the more ammunition I have to get top dollar for their case.
I am more than glad to review documents prepared by my clients about their case.
If, after speaking to a client about a potential case, I conclude that they don't really need my representation and can handle the matter without a lawyer, I am happy to provide free advice.
I was previously employed at one of the leading personal injury law firms in the state of California. While there, I rose through the ranks from law firm manager, to associate attorney, to partner. During my tenure, the firm achieved many multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts, including the largest verdict in U.S. history against a police department.
I have been involved in numerous cases of considerable complexity and have worked on several cases that resulted in multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. The knowledge obtained in these large cases has given me an extensive experience that allows me to provide my clients with high-quality legal representation.
I am a straight-shooter. I am honest with my clients about anticipated outcomes in their case. I am known and respected by judges, defense attorneys, and insurance adjusters.Personal interests:
My family (my wife and I have two daughters), travel, hiking, camping, and relaxing with friends.
