We always encourage clients to educate themselves and have an understanding of their legal issues.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Our firm is always willing to review a document prepared by a client. This can be very helpful in best determining the client's wishes with regard to that particular matter.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

From a liability standpoint this is not a practice our firm engages in.

Daniel Batten

Dan's practice focuses primarily in the area of providing legal guidance to small and medium sized businesses. It is Dan's legal passion to be a resource for the firm's clients in the areas of entity formation, ownership agreements, mergers & acquisitions, real estate and intellectual property.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Dan was a martial arts instructor and attained the rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt. Like in karate Dan enjoys helping business people and entrepreneurs reach their goals.

When Dan is not practicing law he can be found with his wife Ellen, hiking, volunteering at Living Word Christian Center, or spending time with family and friends.

Dan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law.

Leon Beasley

Leon is licensed to practice law in Minnesota. He concentrates mainly in the areas of Business and Individual Taxation.


Leon received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota.  He graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School.  Upon completing his core legal studies, Leon moved to Washington, D.C. and received an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.  His academic performance at Georgetown was highlighted by the receipt of two awards in courses devoted to tax shelters and tax litigation.

Andrew Larson-Wille

Andrew’s practice focuses primarily on legal issues that affect small and medium sized businesses.  This includes involvement in business formation and acquisition; business sale and dissolution; and handling disputes about business and ownership issues, including business litigation. Andrew also drafts and reviews contracts and advises businesses on governmental compliance requirements.


Prior to attending law school, Andrew interned for former Minnesota Congressman Jim Ramstad in Washington, D.C.   He also worked in the film industry in Los Angeles, where he was an Associate Producer for a child safety video.  During law school Andrew focused on regulatory law and administrative compliance issues, including an internship with a Minnesota Administrative Law Judge.


Andrew received his Bachelor of Arts from Pitzer College at the Claremont Colleges and his Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law.

Zach Crain

Zach has over eight years of experience in finding cost-effective legal solutions for his clients. Zach helps companies focus on their customers by minimizing disruption from controversies. Zach counsels these business clients in employment and real estate matters, mergers and acquisitions, business succession planning, and in commercial disputes. Zach also enjoys helping individuals with their estate planning needs.

Zach graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota in 2005, where he was an editor with the Minnesota Law Review. He is a frequent speaker to industry groups throughout Minnesota and is a committed volunteer with several charitable and civic organizations. He and his wife Beth live in Roseville with their two young children and their dog, Ollie.
