What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

Our firm has almost three decades of legal experience that we bring to the table. By spending years practicing law, we have been able to gain strategic hands-on experience rather than simple book knowledge. There are simply some things that can't be taught, but rather have to be learned through experience. By spending so much time practicing family law throughout the San Fernando Valley, we have learned these lessons and are better able to represent our clients because of it. One of our founding attorneys, Nelson Cutter, is also a reserve JAG officer. This experience makes us uniquely qualified to help take on cases involving military families. We know military and family law, and are thus able to help in military divorces with more care.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

We strongly believe the characteristic which sets our firm apart is the compassion we show our clients. Whereas other firms may operate a “legal mill” type of setting, attempting to garner as many clients as possible without much care for the quality of their representation, we operate on completely different philosophy. We view our clients as individuals with unique circumstances surrounding the details of their case; in our minds, in order to best represent them, we need to take the time to truly know them. Therefore, we don’t treat them like numbers – we get to know them personally. Clients who work with us are never handed off to an inexperienced associate who doesn’t know a thing about their case. It is this commitment to one-on-one attention that’s resulted in clients telling us that we were always personally accessible.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Although all areas of the law are deeply personal, there are few that can touch nerves the way that family law can. This area of the law has the ability to completely contort your entire life – affecting not only your day-to-day living, but also your relationship with ex-spouse, child(ren) and all family members. Our firm is therefore proud to work with individuals and families as they face these emotional, complex areas of the law. From helping military members seeking a divorce, to civilians who are facing the aftermath, we want our clients to know that they have an advocate on their side who is invested in their future. That is the reason that we chose to focus our firm on the complexities centering on issues relating to family law.
