Mr. Cornelius began his legal career as a King County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the District Court Unit in downtown Seattle. He has spent the majority of his legal career as a civil litigation attorney. Mr. Cornelius has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases, contract disputes, and many other civil litigation matters.
Mr. Cornelius was born in California, but raised in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from Sumner High School, he returned to California and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After graduating from UCLA, Mr. Cornelius returned to Washington State for law school and, in 1999, graduated from Seattle University School of Law.
Mr. Cornelius serves as a Land Use and Planning Board Member for the City of Kent, and previously volunteered with the King County Partnership for Youth Justice Juvenile Diversion program.
