Barbara Coenson

Barbara Coenson is the principal attorney of Coenson Law. Following 20 years of success in the corporate world, Barbara's passion to help others led her to the practice of law and to helping clients with a variety of legal issues in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, Special Needs Law, and Business Law. She holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Before practicing law, Barbara served as Vice President of two multi-million dollar corporations. She holds a Master of Science Degree, summa cum laude, in management from Florida Institute of Technology. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Florida.

Barbara has been awarded an AV-Preeminent Rating by Lexis Nexis Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. She also is an accredited attorney with the Veterans Administration as well as the recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager Award and a Top Rated Lawyer designation by The American Lawyer publication.

Barbara is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the Florida Bar, Orange County Bar and Seminole County Bar Associations. She is past chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Orange County Bar Association; member of the National and Florida Academies of Elder Law Attorneys; member of Elder Counsel; past board member and past chair of the Planned Giving Advisory Board of Cornerstone Hospice Foundation; president-elect, board member and chair of the Charitable Giving Committee of The Rotary Club of Lake Mary; board member of Florida Hospital Altamonte Springs Foundation; and past chair of the Greater Sanford Area Chamber of Commerce.

Barbara has spoken at national conferences and presented before Wall Street financial institutions. In addition, Barbara has directed political campaigns, is a published author, and her interviews with world newsmakers and celebrities have appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines.

Jason Ponder

Attorney Jason M. Ponder is an attorney at Coenson Law. Jason's legal experience includes contested and non-contested divorce, child support modifications, alimony and child custody disputes, and complex paternity actions.

Jason's legal experience also includes estate planning, wills and trusts, probate and guardianship.

Jason also has experience in business formation, transactional business dealings and complex contractual formation.

Jason understands and strives to provide caring legal guidance and always focuses his case strategies on the best interests of his clients.

Jason has handled cases in the following counties:

Hillsborough, Seminole, Orange, Brevard, Polk, Volusia, Lake, Hernando, Osceola, Marion, Citrus and Sumter. He is currently admitted to practice in the United States Middle District Court of Florida and a member of the Florida Bar Association.

Beth Banerjee

Beth Katheryn Banerjee is an attorney with Coenson Law. Beth's legal experience includes wills, trusts, probate and guardianship.

Beth graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1992 and obtained her law license from the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners. She practiced in the Commonwealth of Virgina prior to obtaining her license to practice in the State of Florida. She is also a graduate of Sweet Briar College in Virginia with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Environmental Studies.
