How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Coming from a large family, Claude J. Greenfield, knows that family issues are of paramount importance in today's social climate. Therefore, family law was a good fit for him. As noted elsewhere, he interned with two public defenders offices and also with legal aid. This has given him much background in the needs and also the problems that face familes that need legal services. So he not only brings his legal education to bear when assisting clients, but a massive amount of actual life experience that enhances his understanding of this subject.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Being a full service General Practice attorney gives Greenfield Law a practical balance and an extensive knowledge of all facets of the family, from adoptions, the very beginning of life, to wills, probate and trusts, the final needs of families. Mr. Greenfield feels that the family is the main that holds our society together and allows it to be functional. Claude Greenfield

Claude grew up in a family of six children with four adopted siblings, two brothers and two sisters in Riverside, CA. He always says "we didn't think we were adopted, we were just family." Prior to entering the Navy, Claude lived in Tallahassee FL. After his Navy career, Claude lived in Jacksonville and now St. Augustine FL.

Claude comes from a proud tradition of U.S. Navy families. His great uncle (WWI), both his grandfathers and his uncle (WWII) and his father (Korea) all served in the Navy. Claude, his brother and his sister served in the Navy during the War in Vietnam. He is proud of his military heritage.

As community volunteers, Claude, his daughter and his mother all participate in the annual St. Gerard Campus Fashion Show. Each year they volunteer as models for this major fund raising event. Claude also frequently assists the expectant mothers at St. Gerard's with their legal issues on a pro-bono basis. Claude also has a son who is a graduate of FSU and works in computers for a community hospital.

A graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law, he interned with the public defender's office for two semesters. Following graduation, Claude gained valuable experience working for Jacksonville Legal Aid and dealing with the many legal issues that families often face. Now in his own private practice, Claude specializes in family law and adoptions. He also assists clients with consumer law, criminal law, foreclosure defense, wills, trusts, probate and mediation.
