Foreclosure
Maryland Foreclosure Defense Attorney
For most people, their home is by far their most important possession. However, because of difficult economic times and other financial issues, our team at Chaifetz & Coyle, P.C., knows it is often difficult for some people in Maryland to stay current on mortgage payments, making foreclosure a possibility. Foreclosure can be an extremely difficult thing to go through, but fortunately there are steps that homeowners can take that can help them avoid foreclosure and stay in their homes.

Foreclosure defense may involve a number of different things, depending on the exact nature of a homeowner's financial situation and the steps taken by a lender in the pursuit of foreclosure. However, with the help of qualified legal counsel, it is often possible to effectively fight foreclosure proceedings.

Utilizing Foreclosure Defense
There are a number of different legal strategies that can help to effectively provide foreclosure defense, particularly for situations involving:

Mortgage title issues
Failure of lender to appropriately notify debtor of foreclosure proceedings
Failure of lender to follow relevant statutes governing foreclosure
Unfair lending practices
When you are facing foreclosure, it can be difficult to know what options are available to you and what steps you should take. With the help of a knowledgeable attorney, though, you can take action to possibly prevent the loss of your home.
